bored of my markers color...
i have been looking at threads of pictures online and i think i wanna either: send my marker in to get it powder coated, If possible. bake it in the oven, or strip the paint and polish it chrome. i am liking the chrome idea better, also considering chroming the body and frame and then baking some parts. what do you guys think?

What parts would you bake? Most parts don't turn out well in the oven

probably the feed neck, clamp, asa, rear bolt cap thing, barrel, then the rest polish. that's why i would much rather powder coat but I'm not sure if they will or can. ill give'em a call tomorrow though and find out. I'm thinking of coolish color schemes in the mean time lol. but I have seen some cool things come out of oven work but from what i hear and common sense says its going to stink up the house for a few days maybe even, not be good for you, idk baking is more of my last resort? but i might throw in the feed neck clamp and see what happens...

I've done a few things - barrels, a few cocker bodies years ago, yes it does stick up your house, and if whatever you put in there isn't perfectly clean, it will affect how it comes out. Like a finger print lol. Though about Kerokote?

huh. yeah i checked out that cerakote if that what you were referring to. the problem, I think, with powder coating or duracoating is, I think, adds thickness to your marker, and i dont exactly want that, but as i said; i have never had experience with it so...

People have baked parts successfully, but i think it's looked down upon now because it's possible to ruin things.

yup, its a gamble alright, the only thing i dont like about it is you cant go back if you mess up or do it for too long. so like if your like oh i like that light bronze tan look, i want it to be more. an hour later...OK it looks terrible, should a took it out while i still could... thats whats holding me back, not to mention of the color it turns out to be you dont like what do you do then? buy a new marker!? haha "AINT NO BODY GOT TIME FOR THAT!!"

you may be able to swap out parts with people, if you're just going for the secondary color scheme.
