Hey guys, it's been almost a year since my last paintball match - Nov. 9th. :S
Anyway, I was reading about someone bragging about "busting out my paintball skills to have Halo's plasma pistol have an incredible rate of fire." As some of you may know, Halo is a game for the Xbox. However, I'm not here for a video game debate, or anythign paintball related. As a side note, it is possible to get that damn plasma pistol shoot unbelievably fast. But, to move on...
My question is, this guy said he could, and I quote, "in paintball i can break 36 balls per second semi-auto." I was wondering, is it possible to get that fast in paintball? I'm sure some people can get up to 20 -> 25 bps, and if I remember, it seems ~15 bps was the average of paintball markers. But, I was wondering if there was anything released in the world of paintball in the last year that can help semi-autos shoot/load faster.
It is kind of a dumb question, and I think was poorly asked, but oh well. Just wondering.
36 balls per second on a semi automatic marker is NOT possible, think of it, every trigger pull, you gotta make 36 trigger pulls in ONE second. thats not possible, unless someone has that watch they used to go into hyper speed in that movie "clock stoppers" your right, 15bps is about average, its fast for a semi but its a little above average.

It also depends a lot on bounce and 'cheater boards' etc. I do not believe it is possible to pull the trigger 36 times in one second, however I also do not believe it is possible to pull the trigger 15 times in one second. That being said I do belive semi autos are capable of shooting 15 balls in one second, and with the right setup I could see someone gettin 36 bps, but not over and extended period of time or very regularly for that matter.

pulling a trigger 15 times in one second is fairly easy, especially if its bouncy, their are some boards that could process 36 balls a second if you could pull the trigger that fast, buts thats plain impossible
36=impossible to sustain, difficult to achieve. it's impossible to keep up because loaders simply can't feed that fast for very long. it's difficult to achieve without a cheater board. i doubt that your friend can do it, but it is possible.
there is a person that hits over 30... his name is bob long... with a little bounce, he hit 42... look an kazaa, it used to be there.... i cant believe how fast it was... he had to use a qloader to keep up..
