Barrel Holder
OK, i bought a 12" J&J ceramic, and it came to me in a plastic bag thing from J&J. Now I would like this barrel not to get banged up a lot in transit, does anyone knw how to make a good barrel tube to protect my barrel in?

you could get a chunk of pvc with end caps that you could make into a little hard case holder thingy...

no, but its in the same section of my bag as the other barrel i have and sometimes they knock against each other. I'd rather be safe than sorry.

if they chip from clinging together occationally, then those are crappy barrels. but if you're desperate, do what i do: aside from having a huge gun bag, get a hard case for your gun and barrels.

bring a towel in which you can use to clean your mask, gun, hopper, etc. when you put it in your bag, wrap it around the barrel. eh. i just thought of that, my pipe kit has a case and my bag has a barrel holder

Go to the Post office and find one of those cardboard packaging tubes. They have endcaps included and will handle quite a bit of abuse, be careful, some cardboard is abrasive (will scratch). Find the smooth cardboard.

I may take the PO tube idea. I go to the post office everyday at work so it's probably the easiest thing to do. Thanks all, more replies than I thought I'd get. All good ideas. also glad to see someone else got a J&J in the baggy thing...got worried i had a fake for a bit.
