Problems?
I am a senior at Westhill High School in Syracuse NY. I was wondering, what are problems people face with in paintball that are not solved yet but would like for them to be solved.

I wouldn't call anything paintball related 'a problem in the world'. They probably mean something somewhat more relevant to a larger population.

The problems that face the world of paintball are numerous and humerous.
The big thing I noticed is that paintballs are pretty expensive. If someone could make a machine that makes paintballs efficiently and cheap(more-so than already), then we could get more poeple into the sport.

If there is any problem here, its in the world isnt?
So a problem in paintball is as good as any...

I just don't think that a paintball related problem is what his teacher has in mind.

still, if he want to leave his options open, we should help him
personally, i think the one thing that has fallen behind in technology paintball wise is masks.
anti-fog lenses have been around since the late 80's, and since JT introduced the spectra 260, not a whole lot has changed technology wise
sure modern masks look alot cooler and such, but in a buisness/sport where wearing lastyears gear means your outdated and outgunned, to be wearing a mask that was pretty much designed 10 years ago is saying something
i think masks could be made alot safer, have better vision, and have cheaper replacement lenses

Dude, yes you can. I did it this weekend with my 98 angel cocker. your a noob. lol j/k. But something like that would be great but i dont think thats what hes looking for. Seems to me like he is looking for a mechanical part on a gun he can re make better. So give him a good idea so he can patent it and take all your money. j/k.
But maybe you could find some way to make a trigger easily pulled and it still return back to firing position real quick. Kinda like the magnet triggers.
But as angered fists said i dont think paintball is what your teacher would want you to do this about.

people, stop complaining about paint prices
a case of paint only retails for about $15-20 bucks, its the store/field owner who jack up to prices, becasue in this buisness, paint is where they make all thier skrilla
you should be thankfull your only paying $50 for a decent case of paint, it wasnt that long agao that a case cost $100-200

How about cheating? You can pass this onto your teacher if (s)he points out that this isn't a problem of worldly magnitude you can say:
"cheating is an unethical practice and ethics is a worldwide problem so I decided to start somewhere where I clearly understood the dynamics of the situation and obstacle"
Anyway... focus it on wipers. Different techniques and custodies to prevent it - like ball technology and clothing materials. Maybe talk about producing a ball that splats and leaves a mucus like paint so it is very hard to wipe, or a ball that breaks and mists so that wiping would be extremely difficult because the paint goes everywhere instead of being concentrated where it hit. Maybe talk about clothing that holds onto paint because of special fibers or changes color due to a temporary chemical reaction so wiping would do nothing to remove the mark of the hit.
Lots of possibilities.

That would just make paintballs more expensive... If it were to spray, people would just say that it is splatter from rubbing on a bunker. The temporary chemical idea would be a decent idea, but it'd be hard to figure a chemical that would do that.

If you did the chemical idea, that would also become a problem, ever dive belly first into the snake? With a chemical idea then your whole chest would be full of the paint, and if you got hit with anyother ball would it not jsut blen dright in? Or what about exball, repeated games the chemical reacions stacking up? Soon they would just look like one hit was there the whole day, or again, get hit in the same spot and it would seem as if there was no new paint.

His paper would be about working these difficulties out and successfully changing paintball competition for the better. Of course no idea off the top of my head (or anyones for that matter) is going to be waterproof without some sort extensive research. The mere action of you pointing out an initial problem with the chemical reaction idea is the very beginning of intelligent labor to figure it out and try to make it work.
I think this would be a good paper.
