I was wondering if at your school there was a paintball club or one you and a few friends kinda made.
i was thinkin of getting a bunch of friends together and trying it.
whats your guys's thoughts on doing that?

our school allows it, we just need a teacher sponser that will allow us to use her room and to have regular meetings.

me and a buddy are getting one re-started up as we speak.....the school also has 15 sets of gear(spyders or something) so we'll be able to bring in lots of new players.

plus...itll be like target practice for me

its college, and each club gets a certain amount of money per year, and selling shirts raises money.....so yea the school hangs onto the gear for the club.

i could care less, theres only one other real paintball player in the school that im aware of

meetings would consist of a nuch of idiots telling the usual "omg, i froze my paintballs into marbles, then shot them at this kid with my velocity all the way up so it shot just as accurate as a real gun"

and stuff liek that

no lie, some kid in my AP human geo class told me that. and bear in mind that AP courses are college classes, and this kid was that stupid

and they all would wear camo and paintballers who wear camo scare me

Yeah. i was talking to this big kid at school, and he had said unless it was a tippmann, he wouldn't touch it because it was a copy cat gun and cheaply made. i mean, even when i was a noob, i wasnt that stupid..

i have a huge school, almost 3000 students. highschool, not college.
i probably have like ppl that i have no idea paintball at my school and they might even be on this board. lol
but it'd be a good way to meet new paintballers.

Ya, I was thinking of starting one next year.

But, like somebody said, I'm pretty sure nobody in my school is serious in paintball. But I have found more paintballers lately.

my friends and i tried begining of the year. couldn't get a teacher sponser sumone is retrying(there was a messege in our bulletin looking for a teacher to sponser it) were trying to figure out who is trying to start it..

At my school, kids are so paintball retarded. Only like 2 other kids than me play, and they suck. When they play, they sit behind a rock, with a crack between the rock, so they shoot through the rock while they sit there...isnt that cheap? I still beat the kid...lol
Kids who dont even have paintball guns, and think they know everything, dont, and are mentally retarded. Someone siad in the paper, some kid shot out someones window with a frozen paintball. That didnt seem possible to me, cuz when I freeze paintballs, they dont even get through the little snowbank I have, with the velocity cranked and a full co2. Kids at my school are just retarded like that....

Our school wouldnt go for it solely because the cool principal got knocked down to student administrator. We have to get clearance from him first, but it still goes through that jackass of a principal. Hes the devil incarnate.

I always thought of it.. Just seems like too much responsability starting it than its worth... especially if your schools crawling with 98 custom sniper package newbs..

college is where its at boys

i know of several colleges in my area that have clubs, and actually provide the members with paintballs when they play. like the club sets it up for everyone who signs up to go play. that person pays a reduced $25 fee for field entry and rental gear, and then the school supplies like each person with 1000 balls or such depending on what the budget is that semester.

i personally did my college search partially based on what schools have sponsored teams that practice regularly and participate in NCPA (National Colligate Paintball Accosiation) tourneys.

ive been talking to the members and captian of the team at one school and hopefully i'm accepted there and get to play partially on the schools skrilla

Don't bother trying to start a PB club in your high school- administrators have always been hostile, especially because parents that are gun control freaks would think that the school is promoting violence (because they're stupid like that and don't recognize that the gov't doesn't recognize PB markers as firearms).

Just wait until college. If there isn't a PB club there, start one, it shouldn't be too hard. Not only that but you'll have a bigger pool of people to work with (in the tens of thousands, if you go to a DI or DII school) and you'll be able to play with people that don't do it just for the cool factor. Depending on your school they might provide money for the club so you can buy markers and equipment (Utah State doesn't, the guy in charge of the club here is constantly MIA so I've been coordinating stuff lately) or they might not, but it doesn't matter. Some schools might not let you use the school name for your teams (again, Utah State doesn't) but that shouldn't preclude you from having fun.
