Hello all, this would be my first video I have ever made. It's not much, just a two-man series with four of the guys on my five man team. Anyway, sorry for the not-so-great quality. Give me suggestions or advice if you choose to. Thanks.

You can't actually bring one on to the field as it's considered an obstruction. You can bring one if you want to shoot from the sidelines but then you have the netting in the way so it isn't worth it. Meh.

It was pretty shaky in some spots but It really wasn't that bad for your first video.

Now the decaf could help some there... Most of the shakiness was user error I imagine. The video tends to get better toward the end (on the actual camera...it's all mixed in the video). It was hard to get through that grass and tape level at the same time. Meh. No big deal...just a practice video.

Will have another song up shortly...I think I like it better. Not sure.

Hey what software you using to make ur videos im looking for one i can download nothing special or complicated, somthing nooby friendly and stuff.

But yeah good video to what i can do at least lol which isn othing. but cool beans. music goes with video pretty good but im not into metal.

Just be carful when trying to video someone in a farther away the more farther the more shaky the camra gets so try not to shoot far away, stay close. somtiems shaking the camra some tho looks cool jus depends not the whole video tho.

I just used Windows Movie Maker. Best product for free I've ever found haha. I know that you can buy aftermarket software for it and other similar programs but I've found WMM works just fine.

Looks nice overall. I liked the hazy gray effect and the scene with the color-fx. A few suggestions, though: (and stop me if I'm taking this too seriously)

Try using more cuts (switching from one shot to another) and less wipe effects. (I'm just reminded of Homer Simpson and his star-wipes...) That way, you can spend more time syncing up the music with the shots. For example, doing a bunch of really quick cuts matched up with a drum beat, and then cut to a longer shot.

Also, the text effects are a bit over the top (especially the chrome effect.) What I'd have done is maybe go to a high-exposure (slightly washed out) black-and-white whenever you stop on a player and overlay the name- and then just use a cool but readable font in simple but readable colors (say black with white border, or vise versa). That way, the text is easy to read, and you're giving the viewer some impressive eye-candy behind it.

heh, sorry- that's a bit of a mouth-full. College critiques must really be getting into my head... anyway, just suggestions for the next one you do.

And, if I could suggest a song for the next one, I'd go with Slam (the biohazard remix) by Onyx. But that's all up to you.

Haha, yeah, that is true. I think a part of the problem was that, for this particular video, I changed the music after I had the video made, which was a rookie mistake.

As for the text, I'll be sure to try some of that next time, as well as some experimentation with floating the letters into a shot instead of pausing the film to insert the pictures. For this video, I'll admit I got lazy and just threw things into PowerPoint to get it done quicker, haha.

Thanks for all suggestions. Will look up the song too. Being a diehard metalhead, it just seemed logical to make the first one headbang.
