in my oppinion the ion is like the ford mustang(atleast in my town). they are both terribly overated. they are not bad products but just lay off them they are noit better than dm7s angels, etc. They are what they are.

^^Exactly right. The ION isn't a bad product, in fact its a lot of bang for your buck, but it is talked about a lot. That is the reason (at least I think so) that a lot of people dislike IONS and their owners.

reminds me of a thing amoungst car guys with SRT4s...

anyway i recently bought a ever so slightly used ION with various upgrades for next to nothing. You really cant do that with angels etc. I dont need fancy timers or ballcounting things. Or for the gun to tell me when it needs oiled. The ION is a good gun for what i want to do and will get the job more than done.

It just happens that almost anyone can afford one so you're going to have some people buying them who dont realize that the ION isnt the end all of paintball markers and that the guy behind the mask makes the biggest difference. Not the "BPS" ratings.

^^YES! I agree. I also don't need all that fancy-smancy ball counting crap, etc. I need an e-marker with eyes, and capable of high rofs. As for the gun to player ratio: the player makes up 98% of the gun, and the gun makes up 2% of the player.
