It wasnt to long ago when smart parts created the ion and i saw them every were, thats all i read about on paintball forums, in the stores i saw more and more mods and upgrades for ions, i would also see an average of at leats 3 or more players with ions they were usually noobs or begginers well im going to admit i even wanted one
now its been about a year and a half ive seen a turn in popular guns
and not as many noobs bragging on how they have a "pro" gun
at least in my area ive actually seen more ions go up for sale
well... atleast i have in my area

Its not really over, but for the most part they are done with major sales. They thats why they created the "epiphany" to try to sale more guns, but for now you will not be seeing hardly any new ions being bought, since most of the people who want one already have one.

i have an ION, i don't brag about it. Guys Paintball is just a fun game. People have had fun with crap guns and they still think paintball is awesome. I've seen more people brag about their DM7's more than IONS

Ions aren't bad guns. There are people who think Ions are the greatest guns and there are people who absolutely hate them for all they are worth.

I just bought an Ion...Why? Beause for an entry level gun it's one of the best guns you can buy for the $$ and Upgradeability factor.

And for a guy with over 2,000 posts Jester is a Joker. I'm surprised you folks allow him on this forum. I see people coming down on folks who post on a subject that already has been posted on and you got this Jack A$$ being rude to folks for no reason. What a Loser..I bet he's one of those guys who gets bunkered.

QFT, and an ion is the best gun for the money, that is the bottom line. there are people who neglect the fact and try to bash an ion as much as they can, but there is no denying it. I have shot various guns and have still liked the feel of an ion.

Seriously though..for someone with 2,000 posts I thought his comments were out-of-line. Yep, I'm a NOOB to Paintballing and I've spent the past month getting my gun together piece by piece. I only have the hopper left to purchase and I will be purchasing that next week. I will be going with the Empire B2. I just bought a PMI 45/4500 Carbon Fiber Tank. I have a Long Drop Forward, a Redz Feedneck, a V-Force Grillz Mask and my Ion gun. I will buy an upgraded board and trigger and barrels in another month, but for now after I get my hopper I'll be ready to go.

I hope once I get a little more experience I can be a contributing factor on this Forum, much like I am on my Chefs Forum and my Poker Forum.

Ions are not bad guns, just a vast majority of the owners give the gun a bad rep, not to mention Smart Parts' antics with suing anyone they dislike in the paintball business.

I think it's funny when tournament level players flame people who own entry level guns. GET A LIFE. Not everybody can spend thousands of dollars on a gun, and not everybody needs to.

The fact is, ions are good guns and are very capable in a tournament setting. To flame people who own ions just reveals some serious insecurity.

Jester has been banned for 3 days. That kind of language/attitude will not be tolerated. You're allowed to hate a gun, but there are productive ways to show it.
