Shot in the ****in windpipe.
The title pretty much says it all.
We were playing a 4v2 on the Hyperball field (I was on the team with 2) and it was a fairly muddy day. Off the break, I ran to a laydown pipe to my right and gave some cover fire to the guy who was running up to the 50. Unfortunately, as I slid into the bunker, I lost my balance and went face flat into the mud and then I hit the bunker. Not only was everyone laughing at me, but I couldn't see ****. I was trying to feel around to get my bearings straight, but I guess I wasn't covered well enough. I got popped twice right in the trachea.
The field owner almost called an ambulance, because I was having serious trouble breathing. I couldn't talk to anybody because my throat was hurting so bad. Everyone thought that my windpipe had collapsed, but I soon recovered and was breathing well, but I still had trouble talking, and made a slight wheeze when I took a breath of air.
Other than that episode, I had a fairly good day. My cousin let me use his shocker, and I tore some rental kids up for fun after I recovered.
Just thought I'd share that with you, and I guess the moral here is to wear neck protection? Either that or to be careful when sliding in the mud. Maybe both.

Dude that is hardcore. Hope it still doesn't hurt. I've been shot in the throat (but, like the above poster) never in the windpipe. I can only imagine what that might have felt like man.

I got shot directly in the adams apple once... and I had my mouth slightly open when it happened, I was about to say something, and a low, hollow sound as if thumping a water melon came out of my mouth and vibrated through my head. 'Twas crazy, to say the least. I couldn't talk for about 5 minutes, and it was hard getting off the field without being able to breathe. Oh and it hurt pretty bad too, look at the ceiling and flick yourself there as hard as you can, then imagine that x100.

I hear ya... I got quite a few comments today about it, at least 30 people thought that it was a hicky, especially since new year's eve was only two days ago.

dang dude that pic looks like it hurt bad. iv never been shot in the throut but I can imagine what it would feel like. because one time in my pool I jumped off my diveing board to try and cannonball my friend but got a little to close when I landed and he put his hand up in defence and it caught me on my way down on my throut. couldent breath or talk for a while.
