I did, I did!
The day started out pretty crappy. My marker wouldn't go above 150fps with the velocity adjuster all the way in. I had changed out the hammer spring before because it wouldn't recock. I had a stronger spring... but I left it at home! Arrrgghhh! Luckily my sweet wife drove all the way home to get it for me. I slapped it in, turned the adjuster to about halfway... and now the thing is screaming. Something like 350fps. So I start turning it down, they want me to get to 250- 260. I had the adjuster almost all the way out and it was spiking from 250 to 280 (damn co2) So, I played. Yay. Then about time to quit, I notice my velocity adjuster is completely gone! So I hit the chrono, it's still doing 260ish, so I play on. Now I just gotta find a velocity adjuster and set screw.
There was a good group there, but they were taking a lot of time between games. So my friend John and I did a lot of 1vs1's while we waited. During one of those games he was backing up and ran into a small brick bunker. He fell backwards on the bunker, rolled over it and landed on his feet. I was kinda stunned just staring at him. I'm thinking "Is he out?" He starts shooting and I tattoo him in the chest. All the kids in the other group started calling him "Matrix" after that move. And of course nobody was running the camera.
We got to the field around 12:30-1:00. We paid for 4 hours but the ref was cool and we played till 6:30-7:00. I brought along my tools and was loaning them out to kids that needed to fix their stuff so it was all good.
It's definitely time for a better mask though. Late in the day the air was cool and damp and my mask fogged so bad I couldn't even come out from behind my bunker. I finally just suicided and ran out shooting. Do the Vforce masks fog as bad as the cheap JTs? Is that one reason they are more expensive?
Well anyway. Who else had a good game today?
I played today at my friends birthday party, he just started but DANG hes good he lit me up because my gun got uncocked and i didnt know it; and it was in the middle of a fire fight between the "birthday boy" i would've got him if it werent for the gun getting uncocked. but i had a good time anyhoo; although i also got lit up on my way back to where we load up even though i was out (it was the birthday kids cousins first time playing). We played woodsball in his backyard. we had a good time
your cheap JT fogged b/c it's a cheap JT. The proflex's and flex 7s don't have that problem, 8s get a little fog i hear.
and it was 40* all weekend, i didn't play.
Dude, I know. I just want to be sure if I shell out for a profiler or something, that it ain't gonna fog like that.
It was in the 60's here and drizzly. Then it got cooler later in the day. Wet and cool = perfect fog weather = teh sucks.
i had tryouts this past weekend and my gun kept ****ing up....
sucks 4 me.....but i still made it lol bc i used my old imp and i still managed to do good....( Team Nobodys btw, if u live Mid-Atlantic u may know who they are )
i played at an indoor arena and i was behind a huge bunker and i was the last person on my team so i did a suicide and just fired everywhere. i ended up hittring 2 refs and 2 players b4 i got out
I didnt play today, but im playing tommaro. It is very cold in Missouri, and its going to snow tommaro. Luckily, I just got a HP tank so the temp. doesnt effect me as much. I went and bought paint today. I didnt get the walmart brands this time. I got JT USA premiums for 40 bucks for 2000. I only use about 500-750 per day, so it should last me a couple weekends. Im one of those players that waits for a good shot and focuses on accuracy, not just shooting 50 balls when only 1 hits the guy.... I cant wait till tommaro, even though its going to be very cold. The only bad thing is, my HP tank is very heavy, and the back of my gun is very heavy now. I need to get a remote, because I have to put the tank under my shoulder because the gun is so back heavy. I got a new drop for it, but I need an elbow to use it. But oh well its a little trouble but ill have a lot of fun...
