Terrible CTF
Ok for starters, I own 26 acres of wooded area that has been retrofitted with bunkers, barricades, foxholes, and pillboxes. I have been playing paintball for so long that I think I was born with a gun in my hand. So anyways, to the story. My team of 5 guys not including me have been playing with me for several years now. One of the guys on my team got challenged by some kid who went out and bought his first gun, a Spyder MR1. So like things always do, it turned into an arguement over which gun was better and then into which team would win. So the kid gets 5 friends and they come over for a "friendly" game of paintball. We all decide on capture the flag. Each team went to thier bases. By now our entire team is steamed at this kid for dissing our play style, how this happened I can't remember. So we head off, my team settled into ambush positions around the flag. We have done this to so many noobs that we figured it wouldn't fail this time.
We saw two tango entering the "kill zone" We waited until they were on the flag hoping the others would show up behind them. Noone did so we shot em down not exposing our positions, so we thought. Another minute or two passed and a firefight broke out to my 6, the only problem was, that was at our base. So I sent two men to Robs position. Another minute of this firefight passed, and I heard someone flanking me, I took off like a bat out of hell since I had no durable cover. I ended up back at the base, mind you the flag is now gaurded by two people.
When I got to the base one man was down, so it was me, Justin, and Rob. Some way or another they had managed to flank our base without us knowing. We got sucked into a firefight with 1 kid but he was raining paintballs on us so I figured it was an E-Grip cause none of them had anything other than 98 customs, except for the MR1. I get a radio call after 5 minutes of this pointless firefight. Caleb and John were flanked at the flag position. So I sent Rob to help them and got Justin to keep the fire on this jerk off, while I tried to flank him.I finally get around to the side and take him out, thats three gone off thier team. Me and Justin take off to help our comrades. We get there and John is the only one left. So three of us are fighting off two Tippmann A5s with flatline barrels, we found out later. They have superior positions and better range than us. But where is the kid with the Spyder you ask? Behind us. He manages to take us out before we are able to turn around and gets the flag.
Moral of the story. DO NOT UNDERESTIMATE A NOOB.
