normally I'd tell you nicely to consider everyone opinions; however, you're trying to argue with one of the forum admins...
You sir are an idiot. If you fail to recognize the power that woodsball has on paintball you need to get your head out of your ass and take a look around. Go to some scenario events where hundreds and hundreds of people show up flaunting woodsball markers and attire. these are the people that travel halfway across the country for a single weekend. These same peopel are also mostly adults; they hold more buying power than the average speedball player.
your lucky man, I also have RC's and my dad is into neither of them. Im trying to save up for a Traxxas Revo 3.3 Nitro truck and then there is paintball so ugh!
quick comment on the RC stuff, traxxas = bad news, everything is plastic i had a N.rustler, blew threw two engines, a shock tower, u joints, lots of steering components, both servos, reciever, and the E-Z start should be renamed, the big headache strat. if you like the 4wd stadium truck look into the mammoth rt i think it is, anyway its an 1/8 scale 4wd stadium truck that will eat anything traxxas puts out

totally agreed, i play tons of woodsball even though i have a full speedball set up, paintball can be split into 3 types, the rec. ball, speedball and scenario, and as far as i know a speedball game has never attracted 4000 players for one weekend like the last Oklahoma d day did (i really want to go )
Paintball was born in the woods and will live on in the woods long after the last air ball bunker has been deflated and retired. Competition paintbal, e.g. speedball, is but one small facet of paintball. 90% of paintball is played in the woods, by rec players. Sure there are many who think that Ollie Lang and Bob Long are the epitome of paintball, but there are those others, the unsung, who play in the woods weekend after weekend that are the backbone of paintball....
Paintball is NOT just supair... And thank the stars for that.
how right he is this forum is 99% speedballers anyway they really know nothing dont shoot medic down... he actually knows what he is talking about "MILSIM all the way"

This forum is mostly full of kids with spyders and tippmanns, that play in the woods. LIKE YOU. But paintball gets MOST of its money, from big tournaments like NPPL, PSP, XPSL and all the money they get from the venders.

very true. the nppl and nxl and such are making money at those tounemments, the venders are there and sure they make a little money but mostly they are there to promote not sell, why do you think they are always demoing a new product there? and if i wanted to say go get a sp ion im not gunna wait till the next tourny rolls into town (not that we get any here in WA) and go find the sp tent and buy one from them, no im gunna go down to the local shop and pick one up.

If paintball didnt make any money, it would cease to exist as we know it. Then all you damn woodsballers would whine cause paints $100+ a case. Get over it.

Paintball doesn't make money, who are you kidding. Paintball companies make a ton of money, your marker cost money, so does your tank, mask, and paintballs do to. If you play at fields they have entry fees, which cost money. Hahah Speedball is the sport of paintball. It's what made PSP and NPPL the biggest leagues in paintball. It's what made paintball huge around the world. Think before you post kid.

The MAIN point of Venders is to make money, which they do. They promote new products, to sell and to get them noticed.
yes but nobody OWNS paintball, if you want a NFL replica jersey the NFL gets a cut of that money, you go buy a speedball jersey only the creater of that gets money, in reality paintball is owned by the people, dark angel you kinda missed the point
Woodsball in an organized form makes money, heck even in an unorganized form the player still need markers, tanks, attire, and paint. to say that nobody makes money in the paintball industry is an ignorant comment. People don't just make and sell things to make back what they put into it.
Jester, you realize that when paint was $100+ a case it was only woodsball?
All this talk of paintball making money makes me want to create a company called paintball, then take everything paintball related and charge them for playing something I "own"

and us woodsballers will always be the backbone of paintball b/c that is what paintball was meant to be "woodsball"...not some prepy version of the sport where you hide behind wastes of money called inflatible bunkers

Please explain to me how woodsballers are the "backbone" of paintball and please learn how to multi-quote.
