because that's how it was started, it's where a good portion of the local fields are supported(new players with said "woodsball" setups.) by these new players as they buy from them directly instead of buying from the internet. Talk to any field owner, it's the truth.

very true, if theres still paint and air ill play in the woods, every speedball field is just a clone of another one, if you dont like the woods your in then go somewhere else and your sure to find some different terain. iv never come across two woodsball fields that were the same
This forum is mostly full of kids with spyders and tippmanns, that play in the woods. LIKE YOU. But paintball gets MOST of its money,from big tournaments like NPPL, PSP, XPSL and all the money they get from the venders.

Paintball is paintball. What your using for a bunker dosn't really matter.
ya we know that but theres some people out there who dont experience all of paintball. These people will suggest getting a bright red dm8 to a woodsball player because that is ther're whole world, or likewise getting a guilli suit to someone who wants to play speedball, if you look at the first quote there is a great example of it.
I played some night ball a while ago at a local field. It was pretty cool except there were a ton of lights so you could see almost everything. Which in my mind totally defeats the purpose of night ball...
