(}{) Scenario Shining Moments (}{)
After playing at the Battle of Stalingrad at OApaintball in Bowie, Maryland, I want to hear some stories/examples of times where you/your squad decided to dig in and hold off the opposing team until reinforcements arrived.
My story took place on the 25th.
Me, Tyler, and Larry had just found each other on the field.
So we decide to go to Nightmare alley which is basically the leftmost inbouds area of the map.
Myself and Tyler run left and take cover behind 2 trees and a logpile that is stacked straight up in between them.
Larry keeps right and shoots from behind a black tube.
Tyler, Larry and I are just waiting for the blue team to come up on us and eat some paint so we stay hidden for the most part.
This is when the magic happens for us. I see a paintball size gap in the logs I'm hiding behind. So I start peeking through it and I'm shouting positions out as the small stuggle begins. I hear Tylers Ego whipping the air to my left and Larry yelling paintcheck while shooting his Redz Ion on my right. Realizing that I can both spot the enemy perfectly and relay that info to my teamates while firing through the gap I peek through the gap again. I put my barrel in the gap and start marking players out one by one. Aside from splatter no paint ever touches me, I was too well hidden I could see them but all they could see is paint emerging out of logs lol.
So after many failed attempts at taking spools and charging at us. Tyler, Larry and Myself marked out 16 players and staved off a rapefest that would have ensued if we had let them get a foothold in that position.
After reiforcements arrive and make a push down that hill into the valley we sat on the hill relishing the whipping we just administered with just the 3 of us. Tyler sees a ref walking past and decides that now is as good of a time as any to get a picture of the 3 of us. Larry's remedial self smiles under his mask and we all laugh. We inventory paint and then rise again to get back in the fight (slowly of course).
I'll save the Last stand story for another time.
