A kid preaching his $3000 gun (he's bull****ting) Piranha would shoot ropes, saying it can shoot 40 bps when he's shooting it. I asked him his setup and said made up things like motorized detents and that he tweaked all the stock parts....it was kinda sad...he didnt even know WHAT a DM marker was...lol

my friend did the same thing as an earlier post
he was sayin he had a DM8 and i asked him if he wanted to play and he said he had plans but i had heard him tell another kid he was free so i said that and he says his gun isnt working soi said well get it fixed you have 5 days and he said that he borrowed it from someone and im like i thought you had a DM8
he said yeah i did , while i was borrowing it
so i said well who did you borrow it from
and he is like from this shop in town
and im like What The F*** are you talking about, no shop in town , or anywhere that i know of rents DM8s
i just walked away then that weekend he came over to my place and when he got there i just came outa the bushes and shot him till he was on the ground (with my paintball gun of course)
lol, bull****ters make me so mad...it seems like every kid in our school who plays, besides me and like 4 others, think The spyder Fenix or any Piranha is the **** and can rip...along with ANY Cocker...
such noobs, I hate Cockers. DM's are so much nicer, thats why Worr Games guns are sooooooooo freakin cheap now because Cockers suck.
I leave new players alone and try to stay out of this thread as much as possible because it's just a bunch of noobs calling eachother noobs...but i have to step in to ask that question.
I never really liked them, at first i did...untill i shot one. The only ones I like are the Karnivor and The Black Magic...and they were alright. I never knew how to time one tho, i do now. Its not to hard, just slightly annoying. I love their accuracy, but otherwise, id rather go for a DM, Ego, or a Borg. Just everyone thinking the world of cockers compaired to all the other guns they dont know about. Liking cockers is just a matter of style.
I mean i highly dislike them, the new ones i heard suck and are cheap as dirt.
There is such a distinction to be made here, but if there was any deep sense of fairness, the name would be changed to "funniest bull@#$%er comments."
At some point, the term "noob" appeared, and quickly became negative. Of course everybody also forgets that everybody was a "noob" at some point. I got the label from a serial renter at one point this summer when I was asking questions about the mechanical function of an electro gun. The kid asked words to the effect, "what are you, a noob?" and I thought about it, and could honestly answer that I was playing ball when his daddy was considering getting mommy with the lemon gin, or vodka coolers (still got my Splatmaster to prove it). Of course I had a huge break due to underemployment, but now I've got the great job, can afford the game, so "Noob" I am not.
Does anyone else take satisfaction from showing a renter kid how to use a squeegee? Or getting out a hex key to tighten the feedneck on his hopper? They aren't all little turds, though the turds there are do a helluva lot of damage.
How's about this for a trend? Let's start a "I'm a freakin saint" thread.
What have you done to help a new kid have a better experience? Nothing negative no matter who stole what, when, then spun a stupid story about a 50bps marker with a garbage container as a hopper.
Here's mine...
I'm a freakin saint, because at my local this summer there was a pack of kids there for a birthday party. The usual mix of awe-struck twirps. There was one kid whose mom showed up early, and was harshing on him to wrap it up. The other kids were still going full steam, but he had very few balls left, and Mom wasn't coughing up any more cash. Maybe she had somewhere to be, maybe she just didn't like the game. But you could hear she brought the arguement down to one thing...he had no paint...he had to leave. So me, at the time basing this on the look on his face, (and you all know that look because you've all had it before) and being on my way out anyway, dumped a full pod into his hopper as I walked by. He freakin lit right the f' up and sprinted back onto the field. I told her I remembered my first games, and how you never want it to end. I got the sense she wanted to be pissed, but couldn't quite pull it off.
Then she did me...okay, not really. But still, I'm a freakin saint.
when i say i leave new players alone, I mean I dont' poke fun of at them or try to exploit them. If they ask me a question, I'll help them out, let them borrow tools etc... Sometimes I even go out of my way to help them if I see they're having a problem.
ok I get what you mean, I am the same way. I have yet to make fun of one. I'll give a smrik when I hear NOS or something of the sort, but never poke t them about it.

The first dau I went paintballing, I was so excited that I didn't hear the ref say go, and I got shot right off the back...
Next game, I was so excited that I shot anything that moved. Team mates, leaves in the wind (didn't shoot at the trees, I just shot), refs, everything. It was fun
