quitting paintball

I don't understand how people can say they're 'quitting paintball'. You know they'll be 'back' in a month, so you never believe them- it's really bugging me lately. People sell their gear, and blow all the money on an i-Pod. In my high school, there's a group of guys who 'quit' every 3 months er so. get a life.
thats my story

lol good call
i would only quit if i was physically unable to play (like when i'll be 80 lol) but i'm sure i will still have some active role in paintball (like airsmithing, techy stuff) if i get too old. it's like a drug; you can't just give it up.

Well, I can understand how sometimes people just need to sell their markers towards extra scratch for more important stuff (food, rooming, college, etc.), but I can't see myself never playing the sport again. I'd still drop the $5-10.00 for all day rentals.

Technically, paintball is a hobby, so doing paintball is also consitutes "having a life." But then again, everyone who is living has a life, so the phrase is stupid.

Paintball is awesome, but I can't see myself doing it all my life. I would always keep my gun, and encourage my future kids to play, but it would lose the adrenaline rush after awhile. The game becomes a science. Everything becomes predictable. Also, it's really expensive, meaning I would have to give it up, anyway, at the first sign of finicial difficulties. It's a hobby, not a life.

Yeah I don't think I could really "quit". Like today Iwent and skated on my aggresive skates today for no reason, and it was as fun as when I was addicted to it, I might even go to Kona skatepark this summer to just roll around.

i think I must be a really hardcore player, because paintball is always on my mind in some way. it's always nagging at my brain(especially in math class for some reason...) so i could never totoally QUIT the sport- like sell all my gear, and never think about it again. It's just not an option for me.

Its funny how you said that ipod part. Because for my graduation present my parents got me a 40 gig ipod. I would much rather have a 20 gig and the rest of the money to spend on paintball. But actually some people around my area just do it once and never again because they didnt like it or sometihng.
