well i took my freind to the sports authority to get his 20oz CO2 filled. well when we got out he triped and the co2 fell out of his hands, fell directly on the part where co2 comes out and it flew straight up, it curved a little but since it was complety full, it flew so high. luckly no one got hurt...we never saw it again, it flew on top of the roof

i thought that it would have exploded

woah, now that is crazy.. it wouldent explode but it won't be able to be used again due to it falling, then flying, and the landind would have ruined it!

If it came off by just a little trip it must've been a malfunct tank, they're suppose to withstand a lot more than that. The only paintball related deaths I know of were from things like this. Both times I heard were PMI bottles. Don't buy PMI bottles! Also, as safety please unscrew tank facing away from somones head.

Actually on PMI tanks it's been known to happen, a kid died becaues of it. His coach or something was unscrewing it and hit shot off and hit him in the head.

I'd say...aim at people's heads when you unscrew your tank! Since blown tanks are like baloons flying around they'll curve through the air...so if it's aimed at something...chances are it'll curve away from it!

Okay dont flame me for that post I was messing around. Best thing to do is to put a white piece of tape or a whiteout mark from the tank to the valve and keep an eye on it as you unscrew...if they become uneven then you STOP because your tank will go bottle rocket

lol go bottle rocket... Yah just make sure you don't unscrew towarda nayone.. who casres if it hits a house or nething... But I need money, I wanna not have CO2 anymore... So many horror stories bout piranha co2 tanks.

I don't think mine bad though cause ive already fell on it and it did nothing, well except it ran outta co2 after cause i shot lol.

Ya, I had my pmi tank start turning on the valve. Took it to a pro shop and they tightened it up and marked it and stuff. I'm scared of it now

Do they really curve like a baloon when you take them off?
Maybe putting fletches on em..

ok...bs meter at medium...by the way, both "tank explosion" incidents occured with homemade anti-siphon tubes installed, which are SUPPOSED to be installed by certified airsmiths. The fact that the tanks were PMI brand had nothing to do with it.

i agree with this so much when i play rec there is this one kid who doesnt care abouot ne thing(we dont like him or play with him ne more because of this)when we are done a game they never put there barrel plug in me and my friend tom are the only ones whos do and when we take our c02 off me and tom go away from where our stuuf is so we can be safe about it and he just takes it off there.also he never puts his safety on and points the gun right at everyone and goes oh shut up the safetys on..........last time he said that right after he said that he got shot in the foot

also shouldnt u have a thread protecter on it when u have it off ur marker......i do ne wayz. also wouldnt that make it at least a lil bit more safe?
