For me PB is all about having fun so I'll stick with the woods. Woodsball is competative almost like speedball, but not to the point of stressing over what equipment you have or how fast you can fire. I guess I just find it more fun crawling and creeping around and trying to outflank or outsmart people instead of going for the highest BPS like what many speedballers do. I'd say the biggest thrill is that you can't see where everyone goes at the beginning of the game. It's pretty intense creeping through brush or clearings while not knowing what's waiting for you behind the next tree. It may just be the crowd I run with but I very rarely have to deal with cheaters or overshooters.
