I went out this last weekend, and some kid asked me what kind of Spyder I was shooting. I simply replied, "Ego".
Same day, after one of the first games, the ref came up to me and asked me what kind of marker I was using, so I told him that it was an Ego 11. He gave me a puzzled look and said, "Is that a new model from Bob Long?" Way to go ref!

refs don't have to know their stuff. i talk rings around some of my refs. they're just kids half the time

One time i was playing a game of speedball with some other guys and these 2 renters wanted to play with us so we put them on the opposite team to me and 4 other regulars, long story short i was in the back left making calls and they ran straight up to the same bunker, I walked around it and sprayed them in the balls LOL

i would hope they at least know their way around safety on the field but yes i have had this experience as well.
played at a corn maze last year (terrible idea, never do it) one of the refs was all of about 16 and continuously hung around our truck that we were using as a staging area.
same day, my gf was using my etek, and of course there are not many girls playing but i have enough spare gear to suit her up so she actually looks like she knows what she is doing. one of the guys there came up to her and said "wow! nice marker!" she just replied "ya, i dont know too much about it, its my boyfriend's backup" guy replies "ITS A BACKUP!?!?!"

the only thing that distinguishes a guy from a girl on the field is whether or not they have a pony tail sticking out the back. you can't even tell by voices some times. one of my rival teams has a guy who shrieks like a girl.

because girl on girl can be hot.
two dudes isn't attractive to anybody.
Also from my experience, guys who are gay tend to be un-interested in girls. Girls who are gay have more of a tendency to swing both ways.
