well at one point i was reffing and there was these 2 noobs just sitting there. i got agraviated so i helped them move up. "quick move to the stand up, you stay there" he moved but the other kid didnt listen and went to bunker the other guy, since he was in a blind spot i didnt see what happened i just heard BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG! "IM OUT!" he walked over to where i could see him...2 shots to the ass 3 to the mask and 5 to the chest and arms. if only he had listened. so the game went on. move to the snake quick! he moved. good move to the beer can and when your ready, bunker him. he got a couple of bounces on the kid but he got him.
so the moral of the story is, just help the newbies. someday they will return the favor by being the next bob long
Seriously - has anyone done any research on paintballs going through goggles ? I saw a fellow get hit (he was bent over forward) in one of his paint holders. The paintball went right through the top of the paint holder. Clear through. Now the holder could have been cracked - but I dont think it was.
Any idea what these goggles are tested up to ?

i heard of a paintball going straight through a hopper... but the velocity was jacked... i don't know a bout goggles, i heard someone lost an eye 'cause someone bunkered him and hit his goggles...
^ he had to be shooting hot then. i was playin woods with bozo a while back and one of our idiot freinds used those t balls. he shot bozo and his lenses dented.
Ok here is a classic,
there were some 10 year olds at a course near were I live and they were having a birthday party. Well the game started and three kids got elimenated so there were 2 left on one team and 5 on the other, well the to kids on the first team didn't want to get shot because they thought it would hurt so they got thier guns and shot themselfes in the hand so they would get hurt (STUPID) LOL
I was palying with some friends and the guy there for the first time was eliminated so it's a 2 on 1 with me being the one. They chased me around and I came througn a small patch of woods and saw the guy that had just been eliminated with his mask sitting on top of his head... I swore at him because he was in the middle of the crossfire and made him put his mask on. Then I ran out of paint >_<

ok well this guy with a DM4 thought he was the coool **** he wasnt a noob but he was a little to cocky for my alikeing so i had my friend AMG and i rushed his bunker from all the way across the field and bunkers him 3 times in the top of the head. it was soo funny and he go to mad he said learn how to play and the REF said i think he knows how to play he just bunked the **** out of you. and everyone was like OOOO. good times good times.

i think that goggles are good up to 300 fps if hit within 10 ft or something like that.....anyway at the local field they had set up a huge speedball/fort field (like 2 football fields) one fort was made of hay bails (sp?) 2.5 ft tall, game of 4vs4 my team (all of us at decent amount of experience) vs 4 firsttimers. they think that fort is the best thing in the world, that was the first time i bunkered more than one person, they had a blast gettin shot (cool guys)
new set-up: 05 Protstock (blue) , dye 71/4500, empire reloader 2, dye rhino (blue). hoping to get: barrel kit of some sort, all proto gear, and maybe e2 eventually.
They test goggles to way more then that. Guys hit them with hammers and all they do is dent a little. I'm going to put up a thread about this in the mask forum.

my mate was darting between cover in a game of speedball and got in the way of some backs covering fire. One paintball went through the gap between the top of his ear and his head, forced it's way through the seal on the mask and then hit the insdie of the goggle, exploding and taking away half his vision for half the game! he was staggering about for about 30 seconds before someone pulled him behind cover!
^impossible, paintballs cant fit through that, or else it wouldnt be safe. oh i just thought about something, if it can withsatnd a shot gun blast, why dont we just where that in the army?! shennagins
How often do you hear about someone in the army getting shot point blank in the face with a shotgun?
And it would have to be point blank, because if it wasn't the shot would go into the neck, chest, all over.

Conduct some of your own tests. You wouldn't think bullet proof glass would take a direct shot either, but it does.
JT claims they test with a shotgun, metal bearings, and a mess of other crap. Buy a jt lense, and see how much punishment it can take.
