OMGBBQ I could've died!
I had an EMPTY CO2 tank (thankfully) and I was taking more sexy pics of myself with my girl, and when we were done, I unscrewed the tank from her, and The friggin CO2 valve came off!!! Granted this was a backup CO2 tank and I use N2 all the time just used CO2 for the pic.
But god damn... I make it a habit to aim the tank DOWN when I unscrew it just incase that happens and if it was filled, I might've just broken a bone or ten in my feet and woken up the house.
Aww man.. The next hydro is in like 5 years anyways. Im gonna call pure energy and find out if they'll send me a new tank tomorrow.I can fix it myself easily, but I dont think I trust myself. I'd rather them do what they always do then me just loctite it.. Its red loctite for tanks, right?
Anyways... Aww man. You guys could've been partying if I had bit the dust. However I refuse to go until I enlist. Then I can go.

meh a friends tank did that a while ago too... it had air though oh well we just sat the gun down and let it drain... although yes the valve DID come off.

I came across something about this the other day. I just wish I could remember the website where I saw it. From what I read a few people (two I think) have been killed when they went to un screw their CO2 tanks from their markers and accidentally unscrewed the valve from the tank. It was suggested that people paint slip marks on the tank and valve so that if the valve starts to unscrew the marks will not be aligned, warning you not to unscrew the tank any farther.

I think this is just as good as any place to put this thread considering the message is: check your tank when you unscrew it from your marker or you might get killed. (Note to Alpha: The following is not directed at you.) Go ahead and sue PMI... If you want to start paying $200 for a 12oz.

Thats happened to me a couple of times, but the tank was full or atleast half full, but luckily I knew that wasnt supposed to happen to I stoped inscrewing the tank and got a monkey wrech to unscrew the valve.

What I wrote to PMI:
PMI,
I was unscreweing my EMPTY 12 ounce CO2 tank from my Piranha G3 BL VF when the tank unscrewed from the valve. Luckily, the tank was empty so there was no CO2 rushing form the relief hole on the threads nor did the tank propel itsself from my gun. I called your (wonderful) customer service and was told to send it in and you guys would fix it ebcuase its under warrenty. The number I was told to tell you is written above in bolt (RA5868)
EDIT: By the way, they have great customer suport. The guy knew what he was takling about and spoke english.
