Punk kid on the field yesterday...
OK. Went pballin yesterday and on my last game, some kid on the other team comes within 20ft from me and instead of surrendering me, he shoots me like 5 times. The ref saw this and gave him a warning about not shooting so many damn times. I brush it off thinking that it's my fault that I didn't see him coming and I deserve to get shot a couple times (not 5 though from that range).
So, the punk kid nonchalantly walks to my girlfriend (who is behind me in another bunker) and walks less than 15ft away from her and shoots her 6 (one in the head that gave her a BIG bump). The ref sees this again and calls another ref to kick the kid off. I was pissed he did it a second time so I walk over to thim and give him some sh!t talk. He just looked down and his dad and older brother didn't say anything.
We saw them in the parking lot and they didn't say a thing... I wanted to knock him upside the head so bad, but I'm 24 and he's about 15 or 16 and I'd rather not go to jail. Man was I pissed!!!
Maybe he was mad that I owned his team with my cheap-a$$ Tippy 98C.
What would you have done?

he had a cocker and said "oops, my finger slipped." the part that pissed me off was that AFTER being warned about it, he does it again.
if he just did it once to me, then that's cool, no big deal. but he did it twice!
and yes, she was playing.

i woulda just brushed it off, next game find out where he is and make sure i bunkered him, and not just shoot 5 balls, might as well unload about 10-15 balls, and aim for the neck .. hehe thats always a nice tender spot.. and if the ref said anything i would just say "had to make sure the balls broke on him, most of them bounced ..." and whats the worse that can happen, ref takes your band?? just go back next week!! atleast you got some revenge on the nukka.. and all this would look good infront of your girlfriend 2

20 ft and 15 ft? you seriously are complaining about nothing. Getting shot from 15 ft is pretty far away, why the hell would he surrender you? and 6 shots...wow he shot you one maybe two times in excess...theres no need to complain until about 10 shots unless your literally point blank. Not trying to trash on you, but comon....This is paintball..an EXTREME sport, not something where you go out in the field to skip with bunnies

Those are the kind of people that makes nOObs afraid more then they already are. Oh well, them hiding just gives you a chance to bunker them. 15 and 20 feet is the size of half of the place I played in. Yeah, I woulda shot the Motherf***er until he said "OWW!' then be all like what? I barily hit you! any farther and they would have bounced!

uhhhhhhhhhh... duh. i'm not copmlaining that he shot me, i'm complaining he shot my girlfriend so many times AFTER getting a warning. i agree, 20 and 15ft isn't far, but it's close enough to shoot ONE time and nail someone wherever you want (unless you can't aim for sh!t). but this guy knew what he was doing. and plus, we BOTH were turned the other way shooting at someone on the right. he comes from our left side and just walks pretty close and shoots.
i surrendered a few of their people and i easily could have been a puck and walked up to them and shot them 6 times. but i'm cool and just surrendered them and or shot them ONE time.

there is one way to fix this problem, and i promise they wont do it again after.
be sure to know where he is the entire time, once you see him walking out, just throw about 15 balls at his back while he walks out. when he turns around, wave at him, and shoot a couple more. he wont do it again.

wow that sucks
frankly, i don't give a sh*t about gettin bunkered. I tried to bunker a guy, but i fell over and slid on my ass past his bunker and i got shot 5 times along my left leg, 4-5 inches from my balls lol
I just laughed it off cuz the guy only spoke a little bit of english. We were 'talking' about it after the game (a.k.a. me laughing histerically at him trying to tell me things in sign language) and it was great.
yea
idk... thats NOT cool that he bunkered your g/f... I don't bunker girls in rec ball games, unless they're beast. I'm not sexist i'm just saying that first time players are not to be bunkered if they're with their bf's.
yea... i would have played a 1x1 vs him and bunkered his ass.

yep... i'm a noob and so is my gf. it was our 5th time out playing so i don't really know what's cool or not.
i just think it's not cool when you get warned about something and do it again right after. since he got kicked out, don't you think there's something wrong there? and who cares what you think is "gay." if the field says it ain't OK, then DON'T DO IT!

Damn that sucks.. the first time a friend played he insta-killed a guy by barrel tapping him. The guy held him down and shot him 30+ times, the police were called, all that good stuff.
Sounds like you'll be seeing that kid again, I'd say brush it off and realize that he's a baby. Since you've got some skill you could make him hurt... but that just ends up perpetuating the cycle. Next time you see him, be aware of where he is on the field, you can set him up pretty easily if he's going just for you.

The sport of paintball is aggressive, I believe he may be an advanced player and is used to playing an advanced game. That doesn't make his actions any better, but that could explain the bunkering. The ref should have known of that players experience level, or at least asked how many times the guy has played (just to get a feel for the caliber of player). It is then the ref's job to intervene after the first mark. Overshooting is common in this sport, and unfortunately, it has become the norm and not the exception. You did the right thing......You let him walk off of the field. The Field owner should have chastised him and restricted him from coming back. Don't lower the sport, or yourself, by losing your cool. On or off the field, you are an emissary of the sport. What you do, could influence others in a negetive way about the sport. Remember, actions speak louder than words, and everyone respects the underdog.
