Hammer pump

Picked up a Hammer pump action paintball gun, and I don't know much about it. Typically shoot semiautos, but would like to try the pump. Can you adjust the velocity? If so, how?

Take off your barrel and look at the bolt. You should see an x shape (called a venturi). Use a pair of needlenose pliers to turn this.
Clockwise-velocity up
Counterclockwise-velocity down
