Simply add a very tinly cut single wrap of tape to the inside edge of a barrel

Yeah, you do the same thing with nail polish, I have it on mine. It last longer than the tape. I havn't really notice any accuracy problems from it when I have a full 12 gram in, but i do think it affects it more when you get low on CO2.

what type of tape would you use???
wouldnt nail polish damage your barrel???

By the "inside edge", do you mean just past the threads where the barrel screws in? And what kind of tape should I use or does it matter?

Literally on the inside, where the ball goes through.
