cutting 15-round feed to 12-round?

I don't like 10-round cause you can't reload until totally out of paint, but i think 15-round sticks out just a tad much. i'm thinking of cutting down my 15-round feed once i get it to make it a 12-round. the cap would still fit on it and all right? and whatw ould i need to cut it, i have one of those big circle razor things but i'd rather not use that. but i can if i need to. has anyone else done this?

Have you tried a copper pipe cutter? That would cut through it like butter.

I dont think he knows what either of those are, smalls. "big circle razor thing"?...

Anyway, if I were you, I'd just fill it with 12pbs, then make a line whre I think it should end. Then use a hacksaw and get it into a pair of vice grips right where you need em. Just make sure its straight. Or, you could probably make the line, and just cut it close to where the line is, then just sand it down to perfection. That might be better becuase you can be more precise and you won't get jaggies on it.

The pipe cutter is the best bet for the job. If you can't get ahold of one of them, the hacksaw/sandpaper combo would be the second best, just be careful not to press too hard and collapse the feed tube. I would avoid taking a power tool to it if at all possible.

I wouldn't use a PVC pipe cutter......thats made for plastic, not metal.

Now that I think about it, this isn't all that bad of an idea. Tell me if it works out for ya.
