My Rifle A-5

Heres my New A-5 with a 14" pathfinder Barrel, Custom Mounted Adjustable bi-pod, X7 low profile hopper, Trinity Weaver Rail adapter, Custom Mounted Red Dot, and the SAW lightweight Stock i also have an old scope for it but it blocks me from getting the hopper so i might get some tac caps for when i wanna use that.

you can see my airsoft collection and some chinese weapons on this one too lol as my red bull cans which i plan to cover that small peice of the wall with.. lol

so far im really satisfied with the A-5 shoots great and accurate and the cyclone feed has no problem feeding the gun as fast as i can pull the trigger, and i have only had one chop so far with it.

Edit: and before you post "too much useless stuff" i will tell you that i have used everything on this gun successfully and it helps a lot, i play woodsball and scenario games so the gun works great for me

looks= 7.5/10 it looks a little too plain, barrel is out of preportion since the rest of it is huge, but not bad, good choice on the hopper, it is kinda long though (the whole thing not just the barrel i mean)

function= 3.5/10 scopes are useless, as are bipods and that stock i cant imagine is light, not to mention without running a remote it kinda seems pointless to have a stock since you are going to have your tank there anyway. no real preformance upgrades (barrel sure, which is why my score isnt lower) its a good start but in my eyes its a stock A-5 with some added weight

7/10. If you think that a scope and bi pod work for you, good for you and keep on rollin with it. 9/10 of the hot chick in the bikini in the second picture.

And I can use my ability to do backflips successfully to move between bunkers when I play. It'll still be slower than running and leave me more likely to get shot.

Looks: I'm with Trbo. 7/10

Functionality: It's a stock A5. 2/10

The red dot isnt a scope Red dots arent meant to be looked through like a traditional scope sight, red dots are purely a better subsitute for a Laser sight. which means you look through the sight with both eyes open this allows you to use all of your periphials and still see the dot, you aim the dot with both eyes open line up your target and fire as for the bi pod, the way i play doesnt require me to do a lot of running around, so holding my gun up for long periods of time gets a bit tiresome thus a bipod... im probebly one of the few players who does use a bipod to its full potential.

i do run a remote to a 20oz tank and i carry a spare 12oz tank on my belt as well.

you have to try and see it from my play style i dont run the frontlines my teammate is the speed and distraction i am the "sniper" tho a lot of paintballers are reluctant to say you can be a sniper in paintball. but i sneak to about the middle of our play area while he distracts the other team, and i find a nice spot to set up then i wait for the other team to pass by and thats when i fire. ive actually climbed a tree a couple times the other team never found me

this is my newest gun so yea i havent gotten any preformance upgrades yet but i plan on getting an expansion chamber, ive already polished and re-oiled the inside of it which helped a lot as well

Even if a red dot isn't a scope, it's still pointless. Because your not going to be able to accurately aim using that alone and hit something consistently.

If you didn't have the bipod + stock, then your marker would weigh less. Less negating the need for the bipod in the first place.

And someone correct me if I'm wrong but if you run a remote line, you don't need a expansion chamber.

But I give it a 4/10 for looks(I've seen about 283482344 of the same looking markers) and a 2/10 for performance.

*rolls eyes* you guys are some stubborn people, anways i like to look at it this way, im not the strongest guy the more i use the gun the stronger ill get i dont work out at all besides playing paintball and occasionally riding Sport ATV's so i need the workout :P

and trust me i need the stock, its hollow so it doesnt weigh hardly anything. i can always take the bipod off because of the way i designed the mount for it but i use it lol

and i did not know you didnt need an expansion chamber with a remote line thanks for the tip it makes sense now that i think about it

Hey, you asked for our ratings, and we are explaining why we rated them that way. I'm not in any way telling you what to put on, or take off your marker. I'm simply explaining my opinion. It's your money, you can spend it however you like.

Looks: meh 3/10. Seen much better A5s.
Functionality: 0.001/10. Seriously, it's a stock A5.

But it's my opinion. If you like it and it works for you well yay, sweet, go get 'em tiger.

Edit: oh and heres a question for you guys, what internal/preformance upgrade should i get first, i dont want a response trigger or any kind of automatic upgrade because im really not trigger happy enough to need anything like that, but im all for any bolt upgrades and C02 conserving upgrades, etc. help me out

camo wrap will just be added weight, i played woodsball for over a year with a bright red impulse and hopper, if you know how to move and more importantly when to move in the woods you will remain unseen for as long as you want.

or you could just learn to aim down the barrel......

+1 for running a remote (because it gives the stock a purpose)
-2 for carrying an extra tank, not only is it more weight that you are carrying but if you truly do just wait and hide then you should not be using over a hopper of paint, at any rate you should never be using more co2 than paint in a game

-3 for style of play

as for preformance mods

step 1) switch to hpa
step 2) get another marker
step 3) profit

I would get a new spring kit, new bolt (mos def a new bolt cus the one broke in my a5 and it totally destroyed the whole gun cus of the gas leaking and stuff, idk how it happened), and maybe a low pressure kit

OR...he could just get a new marker as was previously suggested...With the cost of the A5+ any upgrades, it would be a gross waste of money. You could find a better marker for cheaper.

agreed, plus even after you upgradae it the resell is still horrible, if you own a A5 and you want more preformance the best option is to sell it and start fresh

Bah, keep it as a backup. Resale on tippmanns isn't worth selling them. And he's got it set up as a nice looking scenario marker.

okay i asked about upgrades for the A-5, if i wanted a different gun i wouldnt have gotten a tippmann in the first place, so please. stop telling me to get a new marker, i like tippmanns they are the most comfortable gun for me and they preform good for scenario and woodsball. i understand if you dont like tippmann guns but i do. i dont plan to sell the gun in the future as ive kept all my markers in the past untill they've completly become useless, and i honestly dont care what things cost im not a cheap person so i dont mind paying a little extra money for an upgrade, which if i research enough can usually find a place to order them pretty cheap. thank you avfav for the suggestions ill look into it and thank you Bruno and trbo323 for the positive comments.

miller has a good point, you could keep it as a backup, if i were you id keep it the way it is and just plunk the money you would be throwing into upgrades into a can and eventually get something different.

tippmann upgrades may sound all well and good, but few really do what they promise
