It's a fine marker. Don't listen to your friends, a lot of people will go talking trash about one marker or another. Your opinion about your stuff is the only one that matters.

i have seen spyder paintball markers beaten and abused and still work. they are just not as accurate and efficient as other markers that cost more.

A barrel with a lot of porting is the easiest way.

all blowbacks are going to be loud, theres no way around that short of a silincer that someone recently put up a "how to" about one, but a heavily ported barrel will help, just dont expect it to do wonders

Do my LP mods and it'll get it a bit quieter since it wouldn't work off such a high pressure

A lot of people talk crap about spyders. I think they are fine guns. There are just a few things I don't like about them. i believe on some of them, the grips are not standard. You have to get specially made grips for them. (not a big deal)Which model pilot do you have? I had the red spyder pilot acs. I believe they came out with a new one. Mine seemed to chop alot. However, I put absolutely zero time into it. I got it for 40 bucks and ended up selling it.
