My New Baby
I sold my DM9 a while back and have now, finally, bought a new marker. I just bought her today on the evil place for $650 and I thought I'd show off my new purchase.
My 2012 G6R:

not a bad price at all. your'e going to love it. I loved mine so much that I bought a second one.
read the manual. use the proper lube and tank regulator, and it will treat you right.
and buy a pressure tester! (or learn the lurker sweet spot method)

Are there any worthwhile upgrades for a G6R that I should consider purchasing?

Low Pressure poppet if you want, that's really the only meaningful upgrade for the performance (smoother and quieter, but less efficient).

some people have great success with the hush bolt, but I didn't noticee a change in mine. It all depends on your specificity marker and individual bolt

I don't know if I'll upgrade it at all. If anything I might just add an LP Poppit.

the LP makes it noticably more smooth, if you're into that. I own one with a LP and with with the stock. they both shoot great. honestly, that's all I would add. I feel like I threw away money when i bought my hush bolt

oh. the stock trigger isn't terrible but it lacks adjustments. I LOVE the violent trigger; I forgot about that. I got lucky and i bought both mine with violent triggers on them already.

What is a good barrel kit to upgrade to? I was thinking of buying a deadly winds barrel and freak inserts, is that a good option?

I've taken several core samples with mine and i'm not too scared about it anymore. I just wish i'd found a 12 inch barrel, instead of a 14 inch

Nice gun always wanted one but i never had the guts to buy it.
A guy on my team just put a deadlywind on his clone and he loves it. Personally i just got a j&j allstar or elite kit idk (its the larger of the 2) and i can get over how noce this barrel is. I am putting a j&j on my phantom asap and will hopefully get to test the ball break self cleaning. I will throw it on a ebladed autococker and turn the eyes off or a game and see if it will actually shoot through it. I will get back when i test it.

J&J makes fantastic barrels.
You can't always shoot out breaks, but after a while you will notice your paint goes mostly straight, instead of all over the place.
