slot the mag receiver to give it a custom shape, as long as you dont cut into the mechanism that holds the mag in you will be fine

punch holes in the shroud, if you want to get ambitious slot it with shapes (fire!)

cut slots in the trigger guard to give it fins or spikes

acid etch the hell out of it (can usually be painted over if you screw up) get some skulls on there, or unicorns, whatever you want

thats just off the top of my head
