does it matter? if you dont like it, dont post in it. its gonna be posted a lot because its a popular topic. this is a paintballforum after all, theres only so much that can happen in a small sport like paintball.
Don't even begin, it's gonna turn into a flame war. You can't say someone who plays speedball isn't a true baller. Do woodsball tournaments get huge media coverage, sponsorships, tons of people in attendance? No. Speedball is the type people like to watch, simple as that.
qft.
in woodsball just yesterday i saw about 5 guys get bunkered so it just as intense as speedball
Hm... I think woodsball is tougher than Speedball. Alot of the time you only have a tree to hide behind. There is this one feild that has a huge friggin trench in the middle of it, one team is invading, the other is in a house thing trying to fend them off. For the attacking team, adrenaline is running high, you have to be able to recognize where the good cover is, make it there (without tripping down the steep rockey incline or getting hit by 50 paintballs) and once you're their, you better be very good at snap shooting because the enemy will have their eye on your spot. I vividly remember being curled in a ball behind a tiny log, watching shells and paint splatter off the edge of the log 1/2 inch away from my face. Eventually they forgot about me (like I'd move in that situation...) and I popped out, shot a couple times, ducked, and then repeated. I tell you, that was the most frightening moment I've ever had in paintball, because I COULD'N FRIGGIN MOVE.
Another cool woodsball one was called Ghost Town, it had loads of tiny huts all bundled together. Close Quarters fighting = pain = adrenaline. I got shot in the nuts (broke the skin ) and in the neck (three round burst ) at the same time. It came outa nowhere.
Anyway, woodsball is harder than speedball. Speedball is just more common. I like speedball plenty, but if I'm feeling up for some intense action, it's woodsball all the way.
Anyway, if anyone puts down woodsball, just tell em' that you'd like to see how they do on the offensive side of the good ol' D Day field.
i prefer speedball over woodsball, but people who play woodsball are definately not wimps.
if you want to see wimps, then look at the kids who play airsoft and call paintball stupid. im talking about the ones that havnt even tried it of course.
Woodsball adds more stratagey, teamwork, and maybe even more endurence. You gotta be ready to bust your butt to make a good game for yourself, cant get lazy. Gotta be ALERT! If your walking down a path and someone pops out of no where in the bushes and pops you 2 feet away...start calling yourself a wimp becuase you play woodsball....not Woodsballing has alot more fears to the game because you might never know where the other team is!
Speedball a great game tho has alot of speed of course, running and shooting and gameplay, gotta have a stratagey but not as much as needed in woodsball when on offense or defense. Speedball your both on offense which makes it intense also. Teamplay yes but none near as much as you need it on woodsball
If you like stratagey, teamwork and all that great stuff like soilders need on the battle field Woodsball is the best....if you like a fun adrinlain rush and maybe some fun if you win speedball is the best. All on oppionons like everyone else.
It all started in the woods, and that is what i mainly play. One of my friends does have a homemade speedball course at his house and that is always an adrenaline rush. Woodsball i think is more difficult and more like real life and thats what i like about it. Your not a wimp because u play woodsball, i think it is more difficult cuz somebody u cant see will jump up and shoot you. Like someone said earlier we need both sides of paintball for the game to survive.

Dude i totally agree with you. Airsoft feels like litle pebbles being underhand thrown at you
