Okay, so i am a noobie in paintball, i am going to buy (sorry guys i don't own all that crap i said, my friend posted owner of ion & electra and i didn't know how to change it and well, when i made my screename here i liked both the ion and electra so thats what i called myself, 4 now on i am no longer saying any BS, but one thing i did say that was the truth was that my dad is the boss of wright&morrisey and they r working on over 30 units including a 30 or 40 million dollar building) an ion with a halo b and a carbon fiber crossfire 68/45 nitro tank and then i will use that 4 awhile, to get to know the game better, it will be a gun i will have 4 like a looooooong time and it will be like my gun i use when i am playing speedball and stuff. Then i am going to buy woodsball stuff. me and my friends r making a woodsball team, i am thinking of getting an arikon for my main woodsball gun, probably there most expensive one the like sim-5 or something, its like 600 dollars, one teamate is getting the sp-8, another is getting an a-5, etc. can u guys tell me how good these woodsball guns r, mostly info on the arikon guns and others, how much do they weigh, how fast do they shoot, what shooting modes do they have, etc.

You would be better off not getting the milsim stuff....

Just get one gun and use it for speedball and woodsball. Such as get the ion in green or black and it will be fine for the woods and speedball.

yeah i know, thats what i am going to be doing 4 awhile, but me and my team r going all out on being the woodsball team, milsim guns, grenades, snipers, leaders, grenadiers, riflesmen etc. we r even eventually going to all get pistols. So, i don't mean to be bossy but can i get some advice from people who have experience with arikon guns or other milsim guns and tell me how they were, and anybody else, i am definetely going to buy a milsim gun aswell as my ion (please, no objections). Okay, i was asking different questions before but they were answered at pbreview. So, i am going to buy this gun with a sling and a q-loader or a richochet i dunno and some co2 or nitro tank with remote. Can somebody tell me how fast it shoots, what modes does it have. And i noticed there is a new grip frame thing that i can install, what modes or what does that improve on the gun, is it necessary. I am a noobie but i have played a couple times and i know how i like to play it, up in battle, sniping, pretty much all positions. i tried them all and i liked 'em. What loader should i get, what kind of tank would u guys recommend for this gun and where should i buy this gun, don't tell me the website this website suggests unless it truly is the best website i can buy it from, order paintball??? *************????

For any kind of woodsball I would get a Tippmann. Any of them would be good as far as woodsball goes. Custom Pros and A-5s are great woods guns. Honestly, you seem very set on your milsim gun, but you would probally like something much smaller much much more. I give a 95% chance if you were to spend that money on a Custom Pro and up it you would be much happer with it.

Halo B or Cyclone.......................................$100 or $60
12" CP Barrel (get same size bore as paint).....$40
Camo (pants, jacket, headwrap).................>$60
HPA............................................... ..........$120

Thats $530 or $490 leaving you money to spend on what else you see fit. And you would have a great woodsball setup thats durable, works perfect for the woods and has a great rate of fire.

yeah, i wasn't going to get alll of those guns, i was just going to get one. But i decided i'd be better off using money to buy a gun built for the woods and buy a gun that is built for speedball and beginners and both those together = around the same price as one gun that is specifically made for speedball but use it for woodsball. Um okay, i am either thinking of getting the ariakon sim-4 RIS elite or the sp-8. i like to spray lots of paint and the sp-8 is basically a ion but has a body kit on it. So i was thinking either the sim-4 RIS elite with a sling, my halo b or maybe a richochet or qloader, and then a remote thingy. Or i will buy the sp-8, scope (where can i buy one 4 the sp-8), stock, sniper barrel and maybe a laser thingy if i can get one. Which do u guys like better, i am putting a poll on it too

I would not suggest getting a Sim4. If you want realism, go for an MT66. It's the same gun that our company has sold to West Point, The US Marines, The Army, The Coast Guard, and Homeland Security for use in training. The MT66 is also built like a tank. It's currently the only gun I use.

The SP8 is basically an ION in a shell. If you want spray and pray, just get the ION or another speedball gun. There is no point in buying the shell. If you want realism, go witht he MKX8 made by BlackPoint Engineering. This is possibly the most realistic XM8 (what the SP8 is designed after) I have seen on the paintball market. The sights are in the same place and work the same way, the cocking handle works the same way. It's even make out of the same type of composite that the real thing is.

Mostly on this forum you will get answers telling you to get speedball guns.

My only suggestion is that if you want to go MilSim, do it right and not a halfassed job of it.

yes i want it to look real, but i also want it to be fast, accurate and good. Im thinking of just buying the sp-8, but since i am buying an ion anyways (sometime soon i dunno when) can i buy the shell and install that on the ion, then can i install a scope, the stock smart parts makes for it and the sniper barrel they make for it, and a laser and a remote for the nitro? will that work? If not i am just going to buy the ion & the sp-8, but it depends if i find a better milsim gun. My friend is going to get the sim4 RIS elite. Also they say that the sp-8 is electro pneumatic, does that mean its like an electrical gun?

Ion&electras lies about everything. O_o I'de go SP-8.

Yes. Usually when something says electro it's electronic. The others are accurate, good, and as fast as you can pull *read "as apposed to tap"* the trigger. Keep in mind that in Milsim, speed isn't AS important as it is in speedball (hence the name speedball).

But hey, what do I know? I've only been playing paintball since yesterday...

okay, so either gun i am going to be spending around the same amount of money, the sim-4 (if i buy it) i will just buy it and it will cost around 500 to 600 dollars. The sp-8 (if i buy it and most likely will) i will be paying for upgrades which will have it end up around 500 to 600 dollars.

stock (made by smart parts)
stealth barrel (made by smart parts)
rail kit (also made by smart parts)
firebolt (also made by smart parts but should i buy this one?)
Laser like what the ariakon has (can i buy one and if i can where, how much and is it any good?)

and another board like a T-board or something, what will the blackheart board do to the sp-8? Can i install a T-board on it? If i can, what does it do to the sp-8 and is it better than the blackheart)

SP8 isn't a milsim gun. It's a speedball gun in a plastic shell. Yes you can buy a laser thing. It's not like your only allowed to have them on certain guns. As long as you have a way to mount it, you can have it.

check out specops paintball they have the black cell body stuff for ions or allen paintball products makes a body that fits a stock

yeah, okay once again i have changed my mind, okay i want a final choice!!! I am probably deciding on just buying the ion and then buying the blackcell bodykit at specops and then buying an apex, then when i am changing different games (woodsball and speedsball) i will switch to the other look and stuff. When i am playing woodsball my ion will have the apex barrel, blackcell body kit, scope, remote for the nitro and other crap and when i am playing speedball i will have the normal body kit of the ion (black) and the ultralight barrel 14'' and i am also going to install a virtue on the ion and for both games i will have a halo b with a cheetah board. Tell me what u guys think please, another advantage to this is well, then my team will have someone with an ion and a sp-8 (another member is getting an sp-8 now (maybe)) and i will save like 500 dollars because i want be spending money on the sp-8 and upgrades for the sp-8

Good idea in your last posts, just keep the body kit on always, and why not use a ul in the woods?
