Please. I'm talking about good camo. It's much easier to hide, especially from newer players, while your not wearing a blue jumper.
Plus I can't effing tell which threads our old.
I automatically use different words in order not to repeat myself, hence capsule. Sorry for the confusion.

(i dont even know why I'm arguing this...)
a paintball has an effective range of about 150-175 feet (yes, even with a flatline) from that distance even with a full gillie if you so much as breathe I (and anyone half-way paying attention) can see you. Thats like calling yourself a sniper. It just doesnt work. So yeah, I wear bright blue when I play. And when they're picking teams, who do you think they pick? The faster you realize that camo is overrated, the more money you'll save on useless gear.

(me either)
Hate to tell you, but you are NOT gonna hear anyone breathing 150 feet away, especially someone who practices making their every motion silent, like a true stealth player should. Hell, I do.
I know the effective range of a marker. No, one paintball marker does NOT shoot farther than the other (other than flatline, and the flatline is kinda useless). BUT one paintball player can be sneakier than another. I use the term "sniper" very loosely, as real military snipers take days to move into position. I have maybe a 30 min game going on here.
Therefore, I use my stealth skills and camo in order to move into postion near a main path to our flag, then set up. I wait silently for a team to come down, and wait for them to pass me. Most don't notice me only fifteen feet away in good cover. Then, as my partner down the road pincers them, I come from behind and we decimate.
No, a true sniper does not exist in paintball. But there are players who use the stealth and "one shot one kill" (more like three shots to ensure no bounces in paintball) mentality in order to defeat a superior force. Perhaps you have not played a decent sniper-ish player. By the way, camo has no place on a speedball course, if thats what you are talking about.

you actualyl use the term sniper as defined by webster. "shooting from a concealed location" or something close to that.
you can see the threads last post if you look to the right of the thread link.

look, you can actualyl hide out i the woods and be undetected; I'm nto sure why everyone fails to realize that. The downside is that it's increddibyl boring and you may or may not see anybody.

I think if you hold down the button on the camera it will take a picture. Then if you have someone hold down the button for you while your playing and it still will take a picture. Really it really will work.

Sarcasm. Lovely.
Personally, I don't want a camera crew following me around mid-game.
And how would I prove that they weren't fabricated, or a set-up?
I admit, I am exaggerating my stealthiness in order to make a point.
Matrix: Thats why a lot of people don't like sniper or ambush positions. Theres the chance you lay covered in dirt and leaves for no point all game. But it makes up for it every time you cream a squad completely by using simple tactics. I love tactics.

I never said they couldn't be staged. The whole stealthiness thing is the biggest joke ever. The real cool people use snipers. So have you sniped anyone yet?

All I'm saying is I've played woodsball for several years and never had anyone successfully surprise me. Even people in full gillie. And I never said you could "hear" someone breathe I said "see". Which tells me the kind of calibur players you're encountering. I would really enjoy for you to come to my field someday and try your little stealthy stuff. You see, any given sunday, theres about 40-60 of us that play on 6 acres, and most of us know what the hell we're doing. So even if you did surprise ONE of us (unlikely), you can garuntee theres somone within eye shot that will see and engage you. Stealth only works once...there are no ninjas in paintball (except me ) lol

*sigh* I don't think any of us are gonna be convinced. I just think that stealth is definitely an option. You'd have to have good eyes to spot someone good (i.e. someone smart enough to freeze) in a ghilie at far range.
Sniping is just shooting from a concealed position, you don't necessarily need to be far from your target, especially in paintball.
Glad to. Where's your field?
