Agreed. Thanks to you guys that try to promote the sport and make it look good. At the same time, don't forget the little guys and definitely don't look down on the ones that are out there buying the equipment and doing their part. They may not be TRYING, per se, to promote the sport, but I couldn't tell you how many people my friends and I have gotten into the sport just by playing and talking about it.
I also couldn't tell you how many times I've gone out to the field and caught dirty looks from the little punks that think they are pros because they are lucky enough to have high end markers (knowing they're not even old enough to work for that much money) and we have basic upgraded semis. I guess that's why the comments made me take an aggressive aproach. I have to admit, I wish I had the time and money to be on a speedball team. I've even considered opening an indoor speedball field in my town. All of ours are outdoor, nice, but I think a place to play indoors would do pretty well around here.
Oh well. No hard feelings, right.

i would like to say thanks to ra ra for for kindof getting my back. i now understand why you guys said some of the things you did, but honestly i felt like i was being made fun of when i was only trying to tell other people what i was doing wrong so maybe they could watch for it.
and god talking about assumptions
"panitball isn't hunting!" well no crap i didn't know that. good thing i forgot to bring my doe in heat sent. you just assumed that i was a noob. like ra ra said, i was talking about my posture while holding the marker.
big balla just because someone hasn't talked in forums much doesn't mean they don't know what they are talking about, it's just the wording.
this thread made me angry at first, but now i am glad that everyone is getting along better and maybe the only thing that people will learn from this thread is not to make assumptions. because i too had my assumptions.

thanks mustang. i have really been working on my posture and keeping a low profile. i try to expose as little of my body when i shoot as possible. i know it sounds obvious, but if you really look at yourself shooting, you can almost always find somthing you can make better.
thanks,
russell

ignoring all that flaming and junk that kinda thread jacked this thread, in all honesty...he has a point. theres a difference in hitting a 3 inch target than a 5 - foot long target. By simply applying certain things your told it may or may not help you.
This was a positive reinforcement thank god, form is all you guys rave about GET UR FORM RIGHT, DONT USE STOCKS IT RUINS UR FORM! same thing how u guys respond to Paddle triggers ( rocking ). so i don't see how you guys can go off on him.
now, also if you peek only half your mask out and kind of let the gun go in and out you can keep a smaller profile and keep watching the other person but don't be afraid to duck back in if u see some paint flying towards your face. Snapshooting practice can help with form amazingly
Grats on the new form! keep playin'.

dude, elbows are my hit spot. no matter what, whether im taking chip-shots or running like a moron down the field, i always get hit in the freakin elbows. i know that i take snipes a little too far out of the bunker, and thats why i get hit there on chip-shots. but i cant understand the running thing. its like my arms are a plastic with wax filling magnet

I always seem to take one on the hand every time I play. I agree, it can be difficult to realize the other player's perspective, about how much you expose. Taking a pic or video is a good idea.
Another aspect to think about is the angle that someone else is viewing you from. If the angle is small, they can see less. Yet, if the angle is wide, they may be able to see much more. I try to be aware of how much I expose at different angles. In these cases, I rely on team work, having a someone cover a particular side.
As for language. We all share differences while enjoying this sport. Sometimes language differences occur. Yet, as the paintball community grows, so does the language. I feel what makes our community strong is that so many players care: care for the sport, care for each other, and care about progress.
