Is there any other gamemodes beside elimination and ctf.

Yeah, we made a thread about it some time ago, look around for it. But there are as many different ways of play as you can think of. One of the ones we came up with, was put a pod of paint at each bunker, and each player only starts out with a hopper full.

i know its been dead for a minute but the other day we played "zombie". for any one not familiar with zombie, you start with a free for all or woodsball game and as you get eliminated you become a zombie, you can only get "killed" by a headshot. which really sucks cause people are shooting you numerous times and at close range, so you walk away welted.

another really stupid one we played was gauntlet. line everybody except one person up, all facing one direction, guns straight ahead, the one person left runs in front of the line and tries not to get shot. (the gunners can not move the position of their guns, they have to be pointed straight ahead at all times, basically do your best to lay a line of paint)

another is rabbit huntin. one guy gets five minutes to get himself ready fro the hunt. he is the rabbit, he gets a hopper and all the paint he can carry while the hunter have to load every shot. very hard. another is VIP. the "president" gets one shot and the body guards can get shot on a 3 point system; limbs=1 point, Torso=2 points, Head=3 points. one president, 2-5 body guards and as many assasins as body guards. its fun.

I am an old fart, but occasionaly go play with a group of friends and their kids. There are a few kids around 8 years old that just can't keep up with the older ones. They just don't play very agressive and you can tell the last thing they want is to get hit. So they get to be the aliens. We give them electronic markers and set it at auto but with a lower BPS setting and several extra tubes of paint. We give them a nice strong hold that they call their "Mother Ship" which they need to protect. I tell them just like aliens in movies, they have the superior technology and fire power. The rest of us "Earthlings" get 3 balls that we have to feed one at a time "no hopper" We also don't allow anyone to attach the aliens from behind so we come from one direction. It is really to allow the little ones to have their moment of victory as they almost always win. Next day they get to tell their friends how they played paintball and took out 10 players in one game. For the rest of us, it is a challenge to see how close we can get. Mostly it is about the great feeling of letting the littler players enjoying the sport.

so how does the terminator get out if he can be shot as many times as he wants. Is it until he just gets so hurt he wants to quit?

Many years ago I played a couple rounds of "Terminator" at a local professional field. They gave the "Terminator" a vest that had two 6" round white circles on it, one on the front, the other on the back. The only way that player "the Terminator" could be taken out was with a shot that hit ether of the two circles. I guess they also played a game called "Zombies" where again that circle had to take a hit to take out that player.

I remember it being difficult to take them out as the front circle was typicaly protected by their their arms holding the gun up. So everyone tried to work for the back shot.
We tried it once just playing on a friends private field, but where you had to get a head shot. Quickly we had trouble finding anyone who wanted to be that "one guy" as you can imagine... probably for the best as far as saftey is concerned.
