I'm sick of these kids coming to my course and freezing their paint. I used to just kick them out for the day, and then for a year. Now I'm thinking about banning for a lifetime because nothing else seems to work. Anybody have anything creative for stopping this? I'm sick of basically getting marbles shot at me.

Either Way ive been looking for some creatvive penalties for just all sorts of infractions so lets brainstorm shall we? Ill tell ya dont do anything like make em do push ups or anything like that, we had a reff doing that until a parent complained and he got a new one ripped by the big boss-man.
-Ban them from the field for the rest of their lives
-Make them have to get shot by their "frozen treats"
-Allow only field paint to be used
-Check non-field paint before usage
-Penalize their team (if its a tournament)

Make the fied FPO and then when they whine, tell them that it is their fault. Frankly even at most BYOP fields I still buy some of their paint. Unless it is like 100 /case or something outrageous.
The field I used to ref at charged 100/case for rec guys.. I couldn't believe people actually paid that but they did, and I got paid.. So it was all good.
All frozen balls are gonna do is make them more fragile when they "thaw," so just shoot the **** out of anybody that is dumb enough to put their paintballs in a freezer.

But yeah, ban them for a year, talk to you big boss and send a letter to there parents stating the issues and inform them of the legal ramifications if someone were to get hurt. That will normally put a stop to it. And you guys that say FPO.. STFU!!!!!!! I'm not going to pay $100 for paint and another $30 for entry and all day air.. Your nuts!

I hope you know that paint doesn't get hard when it is frozen. It is such an old paintball myth that paintballs get hard when they are frozen, they actually get brittle and fragile. If you were to read the people posting in the thread you would have found that out. This thread is like three months, next time let it die.
You can't fine people for using frozen paintballs. People play at their own risk, so there's no way that that would fly in court.
You must be a complete idiot! I don't play to get killed! If frozen paint is used, the kid should be banned and report to the police. Hell that could damn near (if totally frozen) be attempted murder.. NO B U L L ****! Think about it. You are going there to do direct harm to somebody. Shooting marbles at them.. WTF!
NOTE: Being hit by a paintball is not DIRECT HARM!

Kill them. Thats a little strech...... only if their not wearing a mask maybe, then they shouldn't be shooting in the first place.
Anyway, put right in your waver that police action will be taken if someone uses frozen paintballs on your course. Possibly assulit could be charged... not to sure about what that, might help to talk to a laywer about it.
Don't get rid of byop, you'll probbly lose some buisness.

why says they're gonan charge an arm anda leg? Have you not been told that paintballs do not freeze ina conventional freezer?
the best wayt o go is to allow paint to be brought in, but inspect it first. Also, charge low prices for paint you do sell and most people will buy from you anyhow.

Closing down is a little harsh, but he may lose some of his buisness that he normally has now. The feild I play at tried feild paint only for a short time and quickly switched back to byop.
Txaggie, he's stating his opinion. You don't have to agree with it, but you don't have flame... ...... mmm I wonder if that is aginst the forum rules....
