Anything Lapco or J&J will be fine there is no reason to spend a bunch on a barrel for a Tippmann.

tippmann 98 barrel

The best barrel anyone can get for there tippmann is a flatline , it adds about a third more distance to your shots making a lot easier to pick off targets , although were i live in england its a bit expensive.

AHHH NO!!! another one has given into the advertising hype of those things!

in the real world the flatline adds NO USABLE DISTANCE to your range, yes it will get the balls further but theres a catch, they are traveling so slow by the time they get out there they will not break, and in a game that the whole point is to get a break on someone else the "added distance" does nothing, not to mention it is one of the loudest barrels on the market, so now not only can you not get a break on someone, everyone else on the other team knows where you are.

so lets recap, you spend around $80 for barrel that will turn your marker into a megaphone and not give you any kind of advantage.....sound like a good deal?

J&J ceramics are the best bang for the buck on the market, very light, fairly quiet, and you will see an increase in accuracy. This way you spend $30 for a lighter, more accurate, quieter than stock barrel.....isnt that what a good deal is supposed to be?

hmmm, i much prefer CP over any J&J. I mean JJ's are nice and all but my CP was always more accurate than my friends JJ. Just my 2 cents.

CP barrels are very good but they don't have the fan club following of J&J I'd actually take one over a J&J but I'd still choose Lapco over either of them.

Don't get anything over 16" (i would prefer 10"-14" less barrel to deal with increases efficiency)

1.Anything longer than 16" does not add distance or accuracy
it actually decreases accuracy, marker efficiency, distance

(accuracy and distance are decreased due to barrel/paint friction and reduction in marker efficiency is due to having to increase marker velocity to get chrono speed)

2.It makes it hard to snap the barrel around when you have a long barrel

I loved my 14" cp when i had my spyder extra

umm, a longer barrel will not cut down your range, nice try but you will only have to turn your reg up to get your FPS set correctly, a paintball coming out of a 20" barrel at 300 fps will go the same distance as a ball coming out of a 8" barrel at 300 fps, the difference is that the 20" will take more air to do it. and the accuracy depends far more on the paint to bore match than that of the length of the barrel, so your first statement is about 33% correct in that it will hurt marker efficiency but the other two are not exactly correct

did you forget the part about the ceramic coating? Course theyre not made entirely of ceramic, they'd shatter instantly.
