I was playing some paintball today and the guy at the store said I don't need to upgrade my gun if i'm not on a team, is that true? I have a spyder Xtra 05, oh and don't mind the title
Unless you're not playing casually, and don't feel that your marker is holding you back there is really no need to. I've found most people grow out of spyders after playing with them for a while.
I still like it, but in 9 months (birthday time) I think that I will need a new gun. I was looking at the Bravo One, Bravo One Assault or an ION, how are those? I was looking at an invert mini also, but it is reaallllyyyy expensive
Get the Ion, good upgrade, easy to use... i assume you are using a CO2 tank ? if so upgrade to HPA maybe take the left turn out of your shots... you will need an HPA tank for any upgrade (ion etc.) that you pick out ... try that 1st see how you like it on your Spyder

I suggested SLG assuming you would want a brand new marker... used... $300 hmmm... I say maybe look for a DM5, i saw a Bob long Marq 6 on ebay for like $300
id go pmr over dm5, parts are way easier to get and its still fully electropnumatic anyway, throw a UL frame on it and a clamping feedneck and it will probably be better than the dm5. parts are hard to get for my 6, cant imagine the 5 is any better
SLG is still a sear tripper, its not a huge step above a spyder vs2 but it costs a whole lot more

Okay, here is something to rephrase it to, what is the best gun I can get for $300 that does not to be upgraded in anyway? I will be upgrading of course, just not much, maybe a new barrel? What upgrades would the pmr need?
