Hell i play in old old empire pants and an undershirt.

During the summer, athletic shorts and an undershirt. And noone has ever mentioned any bull**** about fashion to me.

well.. like any evolution to a sport, fashion plays a factor.. you see it in

snowboarding with cargo pants,lookalike demin, baggey pants, flammal/cammo patterns, bandanna. ect..
football, baseball,basketball = more player wearing there jersey baggyer and baggyer and baggyer... ? w/ adding more and more wristbands? lol
ect.ect..


so i dont see why not w/ paintball.. it's only innovative.

Do the denim lookalikes make you a better boarder? Do baggier jerseys make a better baller?

It makes new kids like Op (no offense) waste their money on cool gear.
You take any pro baller out there, give him some cargo shorts and a wife beater, he is still going to bunker your ass.

its absolutely innovative to the sport. If we did not have a fashion or paintball clothing to sell or wear then our sport would deminish..We need pb to exsist and the only way for that to happen is for pb companys to exsist..the stuff you call "crap" is what has made the sport what it is today. The "crap" has sold to millions of PBer and that does directly effect what this sport has and will become. Think about like this.. would baseketball be what it is today ( selling out stadiums and being in olympic sport) without company's like nike and jordan promoting basketball fashion and turn around broadining its audience.

If this sport does not evolve.. all you would see is more broke (more broke then they already are) pro baller's in cargo short and wife beaters.

and on a side note:
cargo shorts and a wife beater is a fashion.. every type of clothing is a fahsion..

Give a group of 10 people masks, a hopper, a gun and paintballs and you'll have a paintball game spontaneously erupt. They're not going to care with each other is wearing, but i guarantee you they'll have a good time playing.

Basketball did not become a big thing because of what players wore, that I promise you. The players wear what sponsors pay them to wear, just like paintball this apparel does not make the players any better or the sport more viable, it's simply a marketing scheme to get people to buy what the companies are selling.

I never stated that Basketball became a big thing becouse of what players wore..I stated the companys like nike made it to were it was accepted, and also broadend it audience..((please read my previous comments))

Just about any of the newer pants or jerseys from the big manufacturers will look fine. All the top masks are also cool. For headgear either headbands, sandanas, or a beanie. Don't tuck your jersey under your pack.

That's it, really. Figure out what color you like, customize your mask if you want or have the $$.

For all you nay sayers paintball fashion is important. Look at the trends that have come out of it and you'll notice that some of the gear setups are there to exploit an advantage. Either by allowing you to easily wipe, or to help you gain bounces. It's not a waste of cash to make sure that the gear you are using works for you out on the field.

nobody said that it shouldnt work for you. matrix and nor*tex are trying to say that "style" doesnt make any different, unless that stylish gear works better for you. "style" alone does nothing to help your game,absolutely freakin nothing
