ever been talked to by a cop about paintball i have and it sucked
it sucks when a police officer has to ask you what you are doing with your marker. i was just practicing maneuvers and the police officer saw me and pulled into my own private property to supposedly "see" what i was doing. sorry but i didnt know what part of the forum this would fit into but i thought it was interesting. to be honest i was trying to do "Tactical maneuvers" and happened to step off my property for one second onto the road.
I think he probably was just making sure it wasn't a real firearm, and if it was, that you had a permit to have it.
never happened to me, but my cousin was a cop (retired), and I know they have that right to do that if they see you with a weapon of any form off private property, and a licensed weapon even if you ARE on your private property.
A number of friends of mine, former paintballers and now airsofters, had a real rough time when they were stopped at a police checkpoint coming back from a scenario airsoft game with a load of airsoft rifles (m-16s, m-4a1 and g-36) in the trunk, and one of the dudes still had a beretta replica in the holster attached to his leg. Kinda sad that they had all their guns taken away from them and never heard from again... lost a lot of money. Should've stuck with paintball i told them.

id think the plastic would have been a dead give away to the cops that they were not real firearms.....guess not

I would have to say your friends are foolish then. The cops never had the right to take them in the first place, airsoft guns are not illegal, and I assume they were not doing anything illegal with them (aka shooting the cops or pedestrians) which means the cops didn't have a right to take them in the first place.
yes they can stop you, check things out, make sure its not real weapons and what not. But once thats confirmed and done they have no right to confiscate them unless you are doing something illegal with them. Which means your friends should have gone down to the station, talked to the sheriff or who ever and gotten them back. And if they still refused to release them (which is highly unlikely because cops know they are not illegal), then just flat out sue. If the guns were wroth hundreds or thousands of dollars then it would make much more sense to sue for them back then to just let the cops have them and loose all that money.
c'mon guys, it's pretty obvious they just got ripped off by cops because the cops liked their toys.
remember, this is south america we're talking here. Land of corruption and petrodictatorships. You can literally get away with murder here if you have enough money.

Hahaha, yes i have. We were playing in an old abandoned school in Indiana. Cops came and started preaching to us about god knows what. Luckily they didnt take our guns. I just remember him saying they are going to demolish the building using explosives which i think is highly unlikely being the school is across the street from residents.

Well it turns out the F-ing cops that kicked us out of the building actually play paintball there. What douche bags. i hate indiana. They basically kicked us out just cause we are from chicago. i wish they were playing there that day. id aim for the back of their heads. So if you see a hammond cop flip em off for me.

lets see. you're on government property putting paint all over the place. Lets not also forget that you being there is illegal. I'd say you have no right to complain about it; take responsibility for your actions.
Next time you go play paintball, make sure you have permission first.
if the building is condemned and is seen as a safety hazard i dont think anyone has the right to be in the building cops or otherwise. I dont mind being kicked out i know we weren't supposed to be there. but the fact that they kicked us out. because we were from chicago is BS. i know players from that area who play there and have had officers go there and let them be. We are not the only ones putting up paint everywhere and if the building. i just dont see how they have the right to do whatever they want cuz they are cops. i hate cops and now i hate indiana cops that much more.I hope they fall through one of the holes in the floor. i just dont like when officers abuse their power is all.
Perhaps those players have permission? As a rule, mot cps don't treat people from out of state as well as they do those from in-state; that's just something you gotta get used to.
As you grow up you learn to take things more lightly as well as more responsibly.
yea i know that rule and have dealt with it all my life living on the border of illinois and indiana. Whatever no big deal to me. We will be there this weekend and the next and the next. and i am grown so please dont infer that i am taking this personally or irresponsibly. thanks

thats why you buy the guns with the removable orange tip.... the cops arent SUPPOSED to take them if they have the tip
lol never happened to me tho
those are expensive guns to m16's run like 200 and m4's about the same
hope they didnt put too much money into them tho.....
