the dry firing works if its blent in with some one elses firing going in the same direction, other wise, most experience players can tell that its dry firing. But against new players, it usually works

Hahaha, if you want a way to clear someone out of a bunker, and scare the living crap out of them (this is ONLY in outlaw ball mind you) get a bunch of those cheap fireworks, you know the fake m-80 kind. They fit perfectly in your barrel. Light it, and dry fire it at the bunker. If you do it right, you can land it next to them. Goes off, and BANG!!!! they come running out like a bat outta hell. It's a lot of fun
- Brian
** NOTE **
If you use the fireworks that i mentioned, no one could possibly get hurt, unless you're a total moron and and set it off in your hand. This could start a woods fire if you're not smart, so be careful if you actually decide to do this.

brian, we used to have lady fingers i think they were called.. and we'd get some one to lite a huge strand.. and they make it sound like a gun fight.. so other players come in and they get wasted.
also you cant hear anything else when they are going so you can make moves

ALWAYS STAY LOW! I was playing in about waste high dead grass yesterday and i was lying down, and from about 20 feet away my friend said he could not see me at all. And i was crouching and all he could see was the top of my mask.
And also, be as quiet as you can. It's okay to go slow(as long as you don't run out of time)! And you should take about a step or two and then stop, and make long steps and watch where your feet are going. And if you can, always be behind or near cover. Any kind will do...

In Woodsball when trying to find cover, make sure they can't get you from behind. Always know and understand your lines.

Just flank flank flank. When in dout flank him. Start of the game, flank them. If they're trying to flank you, then flank erm back. if they're sitting the the back hiding flank erm, close up all the exits and then shoot the **** outa them. If that doesn't work, well that's okay, it's only a game.

when i was playing the other day we had a group of 54 ppl that went
and me and my friends who've played together were ona team 26 vs 26
so our tactic was we had 8ppl in the middle that would contiuously fire at the other team then we had a team of 8 on each side that just flanked the sh*t outta the other team we won a few games this way
very good way to kill noobs

use all of your senses. if you have a sense that is not up to par(ie: for me my vision kills me in the woods), buddy up with someone who is good in the area you lack. For my squad i have one guy w/ perfect vision, i have insaine hearing(i've actually gotten ticked off because of the sound of a tiny pocket watch ticking), etc.
the biggest thing about tactics in woodsball is situational awareness. if your squad is defending, you should know all possible routes that the enemy may you to try and flank you, or engage you head on. military tactics work the best in woodsball. making sure that you have strong flanks will help your squad stay on top of the situation, even if the enemy moves in on you from the sides or rear. the men on your flanks will allow the rest of the tem to regroup in better defensive positions for the assault from the other direction.
flanking is your friend
as is the high ground
say no to either,
and you're a dead man.
hehe
use the brush and nautural cover, if you read my ambush story in the stores forum you'll see a perfect example of how not to use natural cover. the enemy tried to come onto a clean open trail through thick undergrowth, giving away their positions and setting themselves up for being ambushed. in this same round the importance of using your senses is clearly exhibited. if i as the squad leader had not taken the 'better safe than sorry" mentality it keeping my team moving slowly so that i could use my ears to listen to what was out of visual range. when i was hearing the other team moving into the trail, everybody else thought we were alone. take charge and do what needs to be done. in other words, be a good sgt.

try and keep low in case you come under fire. Also i say buy a neoprene hopper cover. (cause i dont know about everyone else, but we shoot so hot that they break the balls inside if you dont have one) Also, if you have to retreat don't turn around away from the shooter, unless you are being covered. O yeah, and if you are a scout like i am and usually alone, if you see a patrol, never shoot more and once and only shoot the middle man. This creates panic and if you only shot once, they most likely wont know where you are, giving you time to get the hell out of there. lol if you want more tips, pm me, i have plenty tips. Also, along with the fireworks thing, we used roman candles and big bottle rockets in a few games. But we are well....dumb ass rednecks, so dont listen to me about what to use. lol O yeah also, if you are gonna charge a bunker, surprise is your buddy. Only take 2 other guys with you, and sneak up slightly near it. When everyone is ready, have one guy ran at it firing with his full auto or just a really fast finger, they wont poke their heads up this way. Also, once your guys are on the bunker, circle it while firing into it. We did this and took out 5 people, it works trust me.

You do realize that if you're shooting hot, it actually hurts your performance. Do a test, fire at the same target, with different FPS. You'll see... A marker firing 270-300 will shoot a hell of a lot better then a marker shooting 310-350. Don't be a fool, play safe, and follow the normal rules for paintball.

^^ very true verry true, the guys i woodsball w/ don't seem to understand that fact. they think more is better and there is no exeption to that rule. i keep my gun chronoed down and i can pick them off soo much easier than they can get me.

^^thats right. i'm used to playing w/ guys who turn up the velocity as high as they can w/o loosing much accuracy and it gets pretty high. only good thing i can say for being used to playin like that is that you barley feel a thing in speedball.
