i would get a wgp vf-tactical or an agd tac-one. those are both real nice markers, and i can be they are better performing than the others mentioned, i dont know much about the at85 though so dont quote me. my 98custom was real nice and would happily have kept using it, but i wanted something more accurate. i have an autococker on the way. i would get a vf tactical as my first choice, tac one and second choice, then either a 98c or at85.

I've got a pretty sweet-looking 98 custom with a flatline, and a few mods, too. I made a "magazine" for it out of wood, it fits over the front grip that sticks down. I don't like that grip, it looks dumb to me, and with the flatline, you'd never use it anyway. So I drilled out a piece of wood that fits nicely in place of the front grip. I also made a custom stock with an aluminum rod. And to top it all off, it's ALL painted black. Makes it look like some kind of assault rifle I'm gonna post pics soon in the marker pic thread.
Now, as to WHY I like the 98 so much...well, with my flatline I can out-range most people I'm playing with, which can be a big advandage, because my opponent is just spraying paint in an attempt to hit me, while I can place fairly precise shots. A couple days ago, my friend and I were playing woodsball, and I took him out with a mask shot while he was relocating to another tree, and at a fair distance, too. (I'm not going to say that wasn't pretty lucky though, lol) I love my 98c

I like to use my minimag in the woods. It's tiny and i can move pretty easily in dense underbrush. Sumtimes i go old school and get a remote and then the gun feels like it 2oz. lol

It would have been the Tippman SMG60 or 68. balls were place in plastic holders (clips)of 3 or 5 that fit in a magazine, and and I believe the magazine could hold a total of 15 rounds.
It was a scary sound on the field to hear it, but it was a serious hassle to reload. A team of 3 good pump players could take out 1 guy with the SMG. But if it was 3 guys with SMG, and new how to sync their firing, they'd be damn near impossible to take out. This type of thing usualy needed a paint grenade.

you make me laugh puzuma talking how it would take 3 good pump players. I have played with a tippmann full auto. Pretty pathetic. Not really accurate and when you shot any kind of burst it was weak. Me with a pump is a good thing. I know 98 customs are good guns guys. I had one long ago they will hold up but Im also looking for coolness factor. Im just gonna have it to dink around with.

I'm talking about when they first came out. even the more experienced players didn't want to go one on one. After about 10 games facing them we got used to it. Most SMGs would have a ponitman with a pump. We'd use 1 guy as a distracion for the point, and the other 2 would try to flank. The main reason for 3 was because there were other players on the filed too. With teams of 20 on the field, we found that 3 was the best option.

I wish things were like they were way back then, when tippmann made high end markers. Now they just make low to mediums, and they're designed for woods

Give me an A-5. Second choice T98c.
Both can take a beating which is what I find most important in Woodsball. I dont want to be sidelined because something happened in the bush. But give me the A-5 w/ 8" Bigshot, I love the looks and the Cyclone is great.

No paitball gun besides the rap4 looks like a real gun. The giant hopper and tank just takes it all away. But to people who have nver held a real Colt M16/M4 series gun, they won't notice that the 98c reciever is EXTREMELY skimpy, and the flatline makes it look more like a HK G3 handguard, and the stock is uber mini.
The mag kits are dumb too, becuase they have short vietnam-era mags. IF you were smart, you'd buy a mag kit, and get a 30 round mag off the net (airsoft or whatever, 30 rounds are illegal now without a class3 FFL). Then drill two holes and you've got a realistic mag.
The A5 is a bit better because of the handgrip. It looks a BIT mroe like an MP5PDW, but you'd need the right kind of folding stock to give it that look. And the flatline does not look like a silencer.

Ooglay! The handguard looks like ass, the mag lookc like they got the design from a squirt ugn. The stock looks OKAY but is still skimpy.
