Range of report and tips on a homemade field
I haven't played a whole lot (read more than twice) But I found this cool little forested clearing off of the main street in my town (COMPLETLY undeveloped, no "no trespassing" signs). I know it can't be seen from any streets, but am a little worried about sound. How far does the report from a stock marker go (no need to be EXACT, within 25-50 feet is good). I know, pretty much for a fact that we'll be fine as long as no one hears us because there's not even a trail to it, you have to crawl through thick bushes.
I could also use some tips on setting up a little field and bunkers in an outlaw field. so far I'm getting some pallets and rigging 'em with vegetation, any other ideas?

well im in the same boat buddy. we are buildin a field, impossible to see into from the outside bu we are worried we will be spoted transporting material in and out and sound, seeing as its not our land. but my guess is about a football field or more. that is with trees to buffer the noise without trees who knows

Go to the regional forums. Most of the people on the West Forum are from CA.

San Marcos, it's right between vista and escondido if you haven't heard of it. It's a pretty cool little town, not enough open space anymore though. Me and my best friends little brothers are starting to get into paintball (with High aspirations of course, my gun is here in 1 day!) I'm gonna be putting up pictures of the field in it's current state (large piles of rakes leaves and ****, lotsa work left).
If anybody in the socal area wants to play at anytime, pm or something and we'll talk and set a game up or something.

it's in san diego....40 miles north of chula vista and a good solid 1.5-2 hour drive down from LA (I should know, I party in downtown LA all the time). Sometime we should play together when I'm gonna be in the area.

I heard a paintball gun go off at work today.. and we think it came from the houses behind work, and it really didn't sound much louder than paintball guns do when you're on the other side of a field playing. So if people could hear you play... I doubt they would care... we didn't at work... we just shrugged it off. Wondered what it was for a second and then didn't care.
He he he I know where your field is... I've been there and got shot! woo hoo! Anywayz.. yeah you guys should come check it out some time when you're in the area it's pretty ill.
