A real sniper just doesnt go to some random spot and wait for someone, he either goes to the place they are or is gonna be, or he just stalks them. The main thing for a sniper to do is observe, OBSERVATION IS THE #1 MISSION. Then the One Shot, One Kill. Or taking out something. (usaully)
There is a lot more stratagy in "sniper/flanker" then I'd ever suggest a newb to start out with.

Snipers are of limited usefullness anyway. Even if you find a good place to ambush the enemy there's no guarentee they're gonna come through that particular point. in my experience it is often much better to put everyone into large flanking maneuvres to try and catch the enemy players in the middle wher you can then take them in a crossfire. Much more effective. Though addmittedly snipers can really piss people off.
Thats somewhat right, Flanker, there is limited use for snipers in paintball but if you know the area - I mean, know it, its a place where you've lived, and play, you can actually make pretty good assumptions on how people are going to travel. This is expecially true if you know the guys you play against - course this doesn't just hold true for woodsball, speedball players have these habits as well at times. Anyway, the guys I play with I know for certain atleast one team will go down the dirt road, and another team will go about the edge of the property to swoop in and flank, if my cousin is in the other team there will be a small group of four that goes right down the middle. Knowing this, I'd set up three guys on the dirt road, and have them wait for the road group to come near them before engaging, the flankers in the property we will most often allow to get into the "base" only to get them in the middle of a crossfire as they go for the flag. The center group, never have to worry about them - if we are on the far side, they have to go up a large hill, and you can't take that hill if atleast two guys are ontop of it, doesn't matter how many guys you've got with you. Although it is not always true, if you know the mannerisms of the guys you play, you can always set up ways to defend yourself, i mean why do you think the military spends so much time studying everyone around them, and vice versa?

I play a lot of woodsball and we have had people successfully snipe. Sniping in paintball isn't sitting there and taking people out with one shot, it's hiding and surprising with a barrage of paint. I have seen countless amount of people taken out by someone burrowed in a hollowed out tree nearby a common point that people pass by.

I found this interesting:One entry found for snipe.
Main Entry: 2snipe
Function: intransitive verb
Inflected Form(s): sniped; snip·ing
1 : to shoot at exposed individuals (as of an enemy's forces) from a usually concealed point of vantage
2 : to aim a carping or snide attack
- snip·er noun
So if you are shooting at people out in the open while hiding it is very possible to be a sniper in paintball. Even though i dont agree that people saying they are "snipers" are good for the sport
Sniper-(snI-puR) n. One who sits in one place waiting to get shot. see also: camper.
As defined by Smitty's New World Dictionary.

ACtually, the term sniper goes back to British troops in Africa hunting the snipe, a small bird. It took stealth and a good shot to kill one, and when you shot one, you earned the title Sniper.
I was wondering that too. Im also wondering why he installed the second one upside down?

LOL, its called a magazine coupler. They're not clips, they're mags. Mags and clips are completely different devices. Its not supposed to be on a metal piece though. Usually, its either hard plastic or cloth. I know SpecOps makes a cloth one.
What it does is so after you empty your first magazine, you just eject the one in your gun, and move it over a few inches to reload. SAves time rather then pulling another mag out of your pouch or vest.
ITs not upside down either. IF the top end of a magazine was closed, how would the bullets feed? The bottom is closed adn the top is open, jsut like that so you can actually see the first bullets on the top of the magazine.
Anyways, thats an interesting gun he's got. Looks like a spyder.
Ive just seen them where you flip them over so the other magazine doesnt interrfere with inserting the magazine that you are trying to load. Notice that one sticks down further than the other.

The whole purpose of it is so you can reload in 5 seconds, and you have 60 rounds at the ready, as opposed to having 30, then having to switch that mag out for another one. Its not smart to drop mags on the ground and walk away anyways. Even if you come back for them later, they might get dented or stolen by someone looking for a souvineer. Still looking for the specops brand one. I'm pretty sure its on the rap4.com website.
The terrorist in the movie "True lies" with arnold scharzenegger has his magazines set up like that. In the final scenes it shows him reload, he takes it out, moves it a few inches, and then keeps shooting
