APLHA....man you had loads of amazing info in that article. Everything was well thought out and explained clearly.
I myself play a little snipe sometimes when i can.
If you do things like Alpha stated it is possible to "sniper" in pb. Just not the extreme distances as so many of you think of when you hear the word sniper.
If you fellow pb snipers want a good forum to talk about snipers on hit me up and i can point you there... I am a member.
if that was directed towards my post, i'll answer; i was playing a scenario game, running the wire, and creeping up slowly. i didn't see or hear anything. next thing i knew, one paint ball hit me in the arm. just one. i stood up to call my self out, and as i was putting in the plug, another one hit me, this time in my leg. a third one, which i did not feel, hit me square in the chest. the amazing thing is, as i walked off the field, i looked for my 'shooter'. i figured he must've been close, to hit me with both of his shots, but i could not see or hear anything or anyone around me. Even more amazingly, i didn't hear a sound, when i was shot...it just happened. i still don't know who the guy was or where he was at, but i give this unknown sniper props for staying silent and making the 'kill' (even though he got me out).

i don't think PB snipers are any good, no offence i mean half the time you have so many ppl running around, only newbs stay in one spot but i am a newb but i move to much have time to snipe.

"sniping" is more in your scenario play the conventional woodsball. If you snipe in regular woodsball play your probably camping out (depending on the amount of participants)
Snipers i believe in Big Games and Scenarios are ok to have, but you shouldn't have like a whole bunch just those few individuals who decide to be a pain in the butt sometimes, that's really all they are a big pain in the butt. CO/generals will use them to just guard a area or let them go on there own and just cause havoc they won't make the most eliminations just pin a squad down here or there or be a pain elimanating here or there. Snipers i would define as just guys sitting in and hiding in one area for a long period of time waiting for people to pass by. Much like a real sniper would, but the thing is there is no Sniper Paintball gun, or extremely cool scope or barrel or gun that can fire farhter and faster. you can be a camper/sniper but realise that none of the guns out there are gonna make you shoot like Carlos Hatcock(sp?). By the way don't "snipe" in small rec. ball games that just makes the game slow and boring, and you should leave those games to be fast and furious.

lol, it's cool. i used to run alot, somtimes still do, but when i ran, people holed up behind a bunker would light me up, i didn't think my moves out... anyways, i now sorta 'hide' behind a bunker, wait for my opponents to forget about me, and then shoot them when they're aren't looking. this isn't sniping, i usually spray-and-pray during these situations, and hope for the best...then i run to a new spot, and repeat untill they get sick of me. just my 2-bits on that

So your saying that because someone was a good shot and you didn't see them makes them a sniper? The reason you didn't hear them is that you hear in sterio. The sound waves triangulate and then you can hear where the shot came from. If you only shoot one time and then wait (which he did) it is VERY hard to hear where it came from. If you want to beleive there is snipers in paintball, you can go ahead and do so..

Its hard to say what position you always play in woodsball. In woodsball, EVERY field is different. Its not like speedball where the tactics usually stick to movign your front players as far up as they can, using back players to keep the lanes closed and communicate and mid players to support both...
In woodsball, the way you play the game is much mroe decided on who your playing and the layout of the game. What I like to do, is find the muddiest, thickly vegetated part of the field, and use it to creep up as far as I possibly can until I can force another front on teh other team.
But again, I can't do that at all fields. IT depends on what actually happens. You don't know what to do until you'e already done it.. Thats the beauty of woodsball.
Uhhh... Long barrels aren't more accurate. Any gun can control velocity (even a brass eagle blade) and any gun can control how much CO2 goes in (just need a reg, adn the stock reg your mongoose has isn't anythign special).

i understand what you are saying, i checked out the radiodog video after i posted, and, yeah, you are right. you can't call them snipers, but you can call them sneaky little b*******! lol, either way, the guy was good, and props to him
