That's basically my thought too TonyD... short of those cheesy hopper hits.

In a normal firing stance, people have the gun up to their gogs, so a dead on hit in the gun was prolly got end up in your mouth. From the profile though, it does expose a little more, but if you get flanked that badly, you should be out anyways.

at my field they count...its just a matter of the reff's seeing you get hit that counts...

my first hit was when i was blind firing and my gun got hit. It should count. I don't care if kids blind fire, i haev had more guns hits than people hits. I will blind fire once in a while, but not just blinding tho, i do it when i have already aimed and don't stick my head out and someone tells me when that guy is back. It is stupid but the onyl way he won't advance on use and without gettign lit up. And guess what, in battle your bullets will go miles so there is a huge difference. In battle soldiers where flat jackets that will stop the most powerful assualt rifle round. And if a gun gets hit the bullet riochetes and can kill you and paintball will kidna riochete but not like a bullet bug diffence.

Gun Hits Should Count because if some noobs wears so much padding u cant even get a bust on them the only other choice is there mask and gun.

And it will teach you to play tighter if your gun counts.

I love nailin people in the hopper cause they are blind fireing.

Gun hits always count, otherwise its plain stupid. Then you can wave your gun around like an idiot and not play tight and still stay in even if you're gun is getting constantly hammered.

TonyD is right, it would render a regular gun useless getting hit by a bullet. Also, if you get hit in the gun, you'll probably get it in the face or the chest depending on where you gun was when it got hit. It also prevents my all time least favorite thing ever since the creation of roughing the kicker, blind firing.

i think gun hits should counts prevents noobs from bling fireing and makes u play alot tighter. do wat my feind did he put a soc-cap on his hopper lol it looked ghetto but it worked plus his hopper is red and doesnt look good w/ his cocker.

but back on track the air field by me does and the woods/speed place doesnt.

The field i play at counts them, but head shots and neck shot dont' count. this is presumebly to try and deiscourage people form aiming for the head and neck - a legal thing apparently.

ehh on my field, it all depends where the hit is at. If it is the barrel than no, but if it hits the main body, then yes, unless you have a sidearm. Cause as stated before, in real life, a bullet would go through or at least damage the gun. I dont count barrel shots though, cause most noobs that come unload on barrels that we point straight into the air, behind a bunker, so they will waste their paint and air. lol

yeah I like gun hits counting, sept when I used my 30" armotech lol, but we made gun hits count after I lit my friend up, cus he hit the stock of my gun 9which was coverign my shoulder) and he thought he got me out.. then I lit him up as he ran by lol.

Araging, the bullet thing isnt true for all guns... Example M4s/M16A4s are built to withstand 7.62 and 9mm rounds, I beleive 5.56 may damage them though... Not sure.

Even the barrels on most guns can withstand 9m rounds, but not 5.56 or 7.62...

i think gun hits should count but sometimes its annoying because it sometimes hits the side of the hopper that you cant see and you usually can't feel and pple are yelling that ur out and you cant figure it out until somebody yells out hopper

Once again I say to you, stop talking.

FLAK jackets will not stop an "assault rifle round" . Assault rifles don't exist. The term is something politicians used in the Assault weapons ban. FLAK jackets help stop fragmentation. It even says on the inside of Flak Jackets that it is not guaranteed to stop bullets.

If your gun gets shot, you'd probably be fine, depending on where it was hit. If it wa hit right on the reciever, you might be in a little bit of **** as it could bend and might interfere with the cycling.If it just richochets or is a small arms fire comign form a distance, you'll probably just get spooked.

^^^^yea id get spooked if i got shot and like make love to my gun for savin me.

in paintball gun hits pretty much have to count in rec and at local air fields cause noobs that wear 4 pillows at a time. this one kid wore one of those padded vests and the balls would just bounce off. in those cases u got a gun and a mask to shoot thats it. and well in higher up instances id say gun hits shouldnt count cause there is pretty mcuh no blind fire etc but on the other side there pros so thhey should be able to play tight.
