what markers are best for recball?

Hi

currently I have a spyder shutter and its abit poo so Im gonna buy a new marker

I like to play woodsball so I need one that is reliable, easy to maintain, is very sturdy and can take being thrown around .etc

but I also want a marker than looks good, is accurate and is lightweight

I was gonna buy a tippy 98c flatline, but apparently flatlines are hard to clean and require you to use expensive/well made paint - well I can only really afford to use cheapish paint and I dont have time to be taking the whole thing apart if a ball breaks inside and messes up the flatline -_-, then I thought of getting an A-5 but they are abit on the bulky side

next I was looking at WGP Autococker but it looks more like a speedball marker

can anyone suggest a good marker for woodsball... maybe in the future i will use it for sppedball too so it needs to be lightweight and accurate, yet sturdy and reliable and under $350 (it also has to be customizeable)

any ideas?

edit- this spyder fenix sounds ok...?

still go for the 98c. Just dont get a flatline if u dont want it anymore. But i disagree with you about it being hard to clean. I have instructions in my sig for easy cleaning. If you still dont want the flatline, get a different barrel.

All new player info can be found here. go there...it is all you need for what gun to get...it all depends on what your looking for

edit: my friend has a raven nexion and it is great for woodsball and speedball...its around $300 united states dollars...another good one is a Dragun "The One" is about $255 its pretty good and xpaintball.com is one of the only sites that have them.

I may be bias because we are a warranty shop for them but for Rec Ball nothing beats any of the Tippmann markers, they last forever and have enough fire rate to play rec ball nicely.

hrm, yeh I realise Tippman would prob be the best for me to get

but I dont really like the look of tippmans (though I do like Smittys 98c paintjob) - they kinda look like real guns and im abit put off by that

also, the flatline - yeh I wanted a flatline cause I was impressed by the fact it can shoot 100ft+ farther, but I cant afford good paintballs (which it apparently needs), and it seems a little fiddly (like you have to hold it straight when firing or the ball curves left/right) i dunno... the extra range would be nice but im not a vert patient person as you can tell and I dont like to be messing around too much with the marker

anyways, I found a marker I like the look of - it looks good, sounds good, can shoot 20 BPS, electronic and apparently its not to bad in recball... its a dragun tes -- are these any good? lol, cause although I play recball i will in the future be playing speedball and these seems to be good for both

lol you can get a tes for MUCH cheaper than that...correct me if im wrong guys but i think its like $200 however if your looking into something a bit better than that you should get the ONE or a nice Electronic Spyder/Spyder Clone or even an A-5 if you have the money

Dont get a tippmann or spyder. Don't aim low. Get something nice. Mech cocker, mech mag, something along the lines of those. SAve your money.

so is a T1 pretty sound choice then?

ok for recball?
ok for speedball?
reliable?
looks good? well yeh it does =P

edit- alpha, I dont wanna be spending too much on a marker, I mean if I wanted too it would take me about 8 weeks to save up enough money for an Angel but this is just my second marker I just need somethin not too low but not too high, sorta mid range marker... and $300 for a T1 sounds ok i think? this is my 2nd marker

whatever you feel like is really good for you...don't listen to most of the people on this forum (probably including me) they will just argue and most are biased...whatever looks good to you and suits your tastes will be the right gun for you

Whatever you like. TIppmanns and spyders are beginner guns. Don't try to argue otheerwise. IF you want to take a step up, don't take a half step. SAve some money and make an investment that will help your game

you have a point alpha...for someone who has played for a while a cocker or impulse or other mid/high end gun like that would be good.

The new cockers that are coming out soon, look awesome for the price (Priced to compare to the A-5 or others) That may be another option for you.

The new cockers look like they're gonna suck terribly. Time will tell.

Yeah. They do like they aren't going to do well. It's just too low for a cocker to go. I don't think it'll look good as a gun for noobs to be getting. It's just too high maintenence. But we'll see about that won't we?

Try a Pro/Carbine out. I find it better than the 98c from my experience.
