My first time out
was sunday and i would have to say this is a great sport. The only downside to it that day was that i didnt have gloves, my friends safety came off when he was fixing his 98 custom w/ flatline and he shot me in the thumb at 3 foot range on accident, and i got shot in the other hand 4 times. Other than that it was great. Ordered my gun last night hope it gets here by this saturday so i can try it out at a different course (i had to use some one elses spare on sunday).

yeah i alwasy wear gloves, not just cos of the paintball but also to protect my hadsn fomr all the brambles in the woods were we play. Often it's muddy and keeping your hands relativly clean just means less hassle when you get off the field.

I have the cheap half-finger gloves right now... of course the only place ive been hit is the tip of the fingers (imagine that).
I wanna get the full gloves but cut off the index and middle fingers on my right hand, so i can walk easier gloves are a good idea

i first bought a pair of those cutoffs at wall mart that have the armor in them(noob days), now i have a pair of cutoff jt's, i must say, i love having gloves to play in, they really help. and hand hits do tend to not feel that good....prob w/ those armor gloves, is the dye comes out onto your hands when they get sweaty...that looks really nice

hey trashdog remember me from splat forums....
about the gloves...i use gloves from way back when i was in marching band last year. i cut off the tips and they work fine cause they have those little bumps on it where i grip my gun.

my friend shot himself in the hand from about 3 inches away. he basically had the barrel on his hand. he was crawling up a hill and somehow the barrel landed on his hand and he pulled the trigger. it was funny.
good luck in this sport its a lot of fun.

Spyder TL-X with all the extras for 154.99. Should be here friday. Ya, my hands are alittle scabbed right now (considering that EVERY SHOT BROKE THE SKIN). The one that hurt the most was the accidental one cuss blood was oozing everywhere. It was a great time though. Cant wait to go out again. Can any of you tell me some affordable 1000 ball cases (from either a major department store or internet) because i cant really find any nor do i know whats good and whats cheap.
EDIT: Heres the package i got...

you guys should use barrel plgus or covers, that kinda thing happens only it hits you in the eye, and you lose it, they are cheap, and seriously very useful, always remember safety first

he bought a TLX package at sports authority they are having a sale (at least where i live) of 2000 count marbalizers for $40....thats REALLY good paint...some stuff that you may want is JT elite paint. JT Elite is good recball paint and is almost PERFECTLY round except for the seam. Its a real good paint to barrel for Spyders...plus you can get it for about $45 a case of 2000.

he lives in florida, so its not super close. go on sports authority website and see if there are any of thier stores around you, and check thier prices if there are. There maybe an online store for them, and that would be on thier website also.
