Well, i was visiting my friend for a few days and we went to his local field to have sum fun. When we got there there was only myself( i shoot a shocker), him (he shoots a phantom) and four noobs. We play a few games and I get stuck with sum cowards, so my friend shoots me a couple o times. Later a few of the staffers decide to play (they also shoot phantoms). We played a castle attack/defend game w/ 2 guys in the castle and a flag outside of it. My friend and i crawl into the snake close to the flag with this other kid. We tell him to go grab the flag and come back, and we will give him cover. We count to 3 and pop out, and i unload a large string at the guys in the castle, and i look at the flag. Hmmm, its stilll there. I look down at my feet, and the kid is still there. We try this 3 more times, and he eventually says "i dont want to, you go get it". My friend grabs the flag while i cover him within five seconds of that. My friend goes up to the kid and says "see, it wasnt that hard at all" and the kids just hmmphs and walks off.

man dont diss on the noobs out there with little experience, if u saw he wasnt gonna run in the first place then get somebody who wants to.

I am still kinda a newb, but I am never a coward...
When I was 4, according to my mom, there was a huge hill by my grandpas lumber yard, and I would go down it as fast as I could on my little trike....from then on my mom knew I didnt have any fear...so I have never had any fear in my life...when my friends wont do something, cuz there scared, I do it....I beat all my friends in paintball...its awesome...most of the time I play 1 on 2, me being the 1...and I whoop them every time....its awesome...when we pick teams...I am usually the first one picked....I love it..

Anyways, bust on the noobs, its how they get chest hair...lol

Wow - I have never gotten involved in anything where noobs are dragged all over the place by people with some+ experience.

Everyday I get on here to look at some new posts, and there is always one bashing a noob because he didn't live up to ones standards.

Some stories are good - this one is plausible, but pretty common, the kid was scared. Then someone comes on and testifies that they have NO FEAR. Start a clothing company then.

i dont think he's really bashing newbs there guys, worse has been said/posted. Yeah, that sucks, its always annoying to have ur efforts wasted b/c some one is a tad scared. But at least u showed him its not that hard.

the reason why im upset is because twice he said he wanted to go get it, maybe i failed to mention that. It was really frustrating.

when i first started, i was sort of a coward, i guess...hehe, i used to always be on my fat freinds team, (and remember, thsi is when i was first starting out) and hide behind him as we walked down the death path

and hed always get shot a provide me with a good shield, haha

Its all good I guess but if after to times of seening the kid do it you should have just been like forget it and gotten up and go the flag for yourself. I know not all noobs are scarded but its a thing. Personally I was a coward and a noob and after playing oneday at the local feild and kinda hanging around talking with the ref I wasnt scared and started trying to run up the feild. The moral of my rant is that when you have a noob like that go ahead and get it yourself you just tell him to follow you while you go get the flag. He will learn and hopefully improve with you helping him out.

Omg..my friend and I never fear paintballs. Back when we started the sport 1.5 years ago. I bought a Blade II and he bought another kind of plastic pump..we used to show off to those girls by shooting each other anywhere(except groin) like..3 ft away. My mom was pissed at me, at the end of the day, my body was full of new welts.

when i was newbish the 2nd time i played it was at a scenerio,in the begining of the day i was scared as hell, at the end of the day i was running past pepole shoting @ me with no fear. so my advice to noobs, play in a scenerio and u will never be scared again

you know your first couple of times as soon as the ref blew the whistle you ran 5 yards behind everyone else and found yourself a nice comfy bush...

yea, when I started playing I fallowed my friends around and shot at another noob that I knew. I was really scared and I thought it was going to hurt when I got hit, but then my adrenalin started pumping and I ran out and eliminated two other guys (noobs) and then I snuck up to a bunker and started shooting at them when they were shooting over the top of the bunker. Then they found out where I was they started shooting back and I ran all the way back to the edge of the field and waited there for my team to finish of the rest of the game.

I think its ok for noobs to be a little scared. I mean the good guys are shooting 10 bps at them and we all must admit that we dont like getting shot by paintballs. Just let them play and conquer their fear, they are after all the future of the sport, so lets not call them scared wusses because if we do they will get the impression that paintball is all about being the best and the picking on those that are not as good as you. Paintball needs to be fun for everyone, us expierenced players, scared noobs, and everyone in between.
