ROF or ball-count restrictions
so my thought goes like this: i don't like the "wall of paint" that sprays out of highend guns; i prefer more paint conservation; pumps are of course for this, and hell, slingshots, but my thought is:
for an outlaw type course, or antyhing:
a. you could require using all the same guns like tippy 98 (not going to work feasably perhaps)
b. restrict the amount of balls you can carry; say 100 or so; in my mind this would make things a lot more interesting; it's frustrating to me that the paintball industry thrives off of getting as much paint in the air as possible; i find it really ugly; heck, take this to its logical conclusion and you have just people spraying paint in the air, bombarding the other team; so, how bout you restrict each player to a number of paintballs? make the game more "tactical", you have to plan your shots etc.
i'm looking to build an outlaw type woods course and i'm seriously thinking that i'll want to play ball-restriction games. the idea being that you can trade paint between team members if needed
of course you wouldn't count the balls, but just say each player gets one tube or less; i'm not talking massive restriction or single-loading, but for a medium size woods field, say 60 or 140 paintballs per person
i just don't like the idea of spending all the money you can to be competitive, and spraying lots of paint is just really lousy fun in my mind; you'd need to learn to conserve, maybe fire a few round bursts at a time
thoughts?
