final update for Austin Mission Alpha

Hey gang,

This is an update from the Mission Coordinators for Austin Mission Alpha:Apocalypse!

Thanks very much to everyone who has pre-registered! We have extended pre-registration for the event until Wednesday, 20 FEB at Midnight. This means it is not too late to pre-register to get your side choice.

We've confirmed (and double-confirmed) that the guys from Scenario Team MAST will be there leading the US side. We also have some pre-registered COBRA Woodsball players from Houston on the way (thanks to Grinder, Blitzkrieg, Signpimp and all those guys). We're putting the finishing touches on our props and our roleplayers have been through their final rehearsals. In short, it's shaping up to be a great day of scenario play!

If you want to see and hear a bit about us and our event, check out News 8 Austin and search "Fit For Friday" for a news story on the event:
http://news8austin.com/content/your_news/?...amp;ArID=200525

The live coverage was on Friday morning but this is the taped story done a week before. Shouts out to Ed and all the guys at MAST and the players who attended.

Check out their website:

Moving on from that... Whew! We've been busy with lots and lots of preparations going on as we ramp up for this event:
VIP protections, Demo charges, dead zones, chemical weapons, 4ft trenches, secret formulas, Special Ops, scientists, checkpoints, reporters, and much much more.

THIS IS GOING TO BE THE BIGGEST THING TO HIT AUSTIN PAINTBALL since the Texas Open in '06.
